Leyland lost game 4

So did McCrackhead and frumpy fatass Lamont.. Worst coaching staff in the league..

Yeah, Leyland made several just awful decisions and he paid for them. Stick a fork in us, we're done.

I hope one of the national reporters has the gut to totally call Leyland out on his idiocy because we know for sure no Detroit writer does.

The Detroit writers have no sack and will probably cuddle him and drink his bathwater..

Its been all over twitter with the decision there.

From Karl Ravech:

"Why not to IBB beltre 1. Valverde is not ground ball pitcher 2. Napoli rarely hits into Dps 1 every 40 ab 3. Napoli .372 with risp 4. Cruz"

Amen.. Dumb fuck decision.. Napaoli is arguably their best hitter..

It's honestly almost like walking Raburn to get to Cabby. It's close to that bad. Napoli is a beast and has been swinging a hot bat for months.

I am dumbfounded.

Jim and his staff had a rough night... But five hits is not going to get it done. Jim and his coaches really had a bad game if you looked you would see that... I hope he gets ripped

1. Young should not be playing. He is hurt and can Hardly run .. Bad fielder and hitting cost at least 2-3 runs

2. Procello Throwing 300 pitches to first base was dumb.. You could see porcello fading. (you had a 2-2 count on young)

3. Sending Miguel from third.. How dumb was that? Even Rickey Henderson is thrown out.

4. Young should have been lifted for Kelly. Hurt player verses hot post season hitter Lefty/right. Beltre may play in a step
with Kelly batting who knows.

5. Walking 0-4 Beltre who is hurt is beyond laughable for Napoli that hittest hitter in september in baseball
that was so stupid. You pitch to Adrian and Mike...

6. Everyone knows Hamilton swings at the first pitch but our scouting dept and pitchers.

7. Jose Valverdes second inning... HELLO NON-SAVE. HE PITCHED ONE GOOD INNING. TWO IS ASKING FOR IT.

Maybe they can start hitting and win three in a row... 68 tigers did..

I think it's absolutely right in saying they did a fucking terrible job in advanced scouting.. Even googling Napoli's 2nd half 2011 and 2011 stats would show you that he's been the hottest hitter in baseball in that time period.. He went on a Sheffield first half 2007 tear.. Beltre has been hot, but not as hot as Napoli, and Cruz has been a Tiger killer.. You take your chances with Beltre, who has been mediocre in the series.. Also the Napoli not hitting into DP stats is another fuck up by the advanced scouting, I did not know that and apparently the radio guys didn't either.. The scouts have NO excuse however(Leyland and coaching staff)

8. How about you take Valverde out after the Napoli hit, why let him pitch to Cruz after that? I actually called it here at home before he threw the pitch. He had had enough and you get him out of there.

I can't watch the replay i am so pissed... At least someone is ripping Jim.

Plus Beltre is hurt.

I cannot get on the ESPN boards but SEBBE is defending Jimmy.. I mean
five hits is pathetic verses Harrison But no way Delmon Young should have been batting. I almost wish he had not hit that long fly foul ball now... That was the only reason jim left him in... But he gagged because he is hurt... His fielding cost a run also.

I mean, can you imagine any other teams manager walking a hobbled Delmon Young to get to Migeul Cabrera? That's essentially what Leyland did tonight.

It's not just a bad decision, it's about as bad a decision as he could have made. Just horrible.

I am beyond mad at all the poor decisions our coaching staff made.... That is why La Russa schooled Jim in 2006...
Oh and another throw to first cost the tigers again by a pitcher.... Thanks Jimmy that was my 300th throw over to Miguel.

I all seriousness i would prefer Clete Thomas over Young tonight. But Kelly should have been pinch hitting..

What a bunch of babies. Simple fact is that the Tigers have 2 reliable relievers and Texas has 4-5. So, Texas has a huge advantage in extra inning games. Benoit and Valverde are forced to pitch every night and relievers get tired and miss their location when they are over worked.

The problem is that Albuqueque suddenly became useless after being nearly unhittable for months.

A great manager steals this game with only five hits... Funny thing is is you know it... Jim is a good manager just not a great one... But hey maybe we win three in a row like 68..
