He's been going BPA since he's been here..and we have 11 wins in two years. Nothing wrong with going need at 10..
True but ask LKP and he was able to assemble a SB team

btw i just saw on the FSN sports ticker the Houston just had surgery and is not certain whether he will be ready for training Camp
Rex Ryan who is a defensive minded coach didn't want him.
NE tried him for a season. They have almost no defensive play makers but decided they didn't want him.
Goes to the Ravens who have one of the best GMs in the NFL and they didn't re-sign him.
I have zero faith in Ihedigbo!
He's better and smarter than Delmas!!
Coverage Delmas is ranked much better. They had the same turnovers forced though and Ihedigbo will be used a in the box safety.
Blitz, run support, less penalties and durability (you can count on him), Ihedigbo gets the edge.
Lions issue is they hisorically did not do a good job at identifying the best player available at the time. BPA works if you have strong scouting dept.
That's what i meant. OVERALL, i'm taking Ihedigbo all day.
Agreed.
Some guys on here don't deal with overall though. Sack, hits, hurries and run D argument for the Dline instead of just sacks argument people have had.
If he's a liability in coverage though, it could hurt Detroit. But on the other side, Delmas was far from perfect in coverage too. We shall see what Austin gets out of him. With the new staff having SS and FS designations, it made a ton of sense to dump Delmas (along with cap reasons) and go with Ihedigbo. And since Ha Ha is more of a free safety, it makes sense to go Ebron if they feel he is BPA. Pryor made more sense if they wanted a safety.
Overall, ihedigbo is a mediocre at best safety....just like delmas was.
Between the two, who you got though?
Bpa is not flawed. Lots of teams do the same, including the packers. We have just been burnt by some injuries and crazy incidents. Some our fault, some not. Jahvid, Titus, and broyles all showed capable talent. But unfortunately every single one didn't work out. Leshoure hadnt had an injury whatsoever but was ruined immediately by an Achilles tear if at least two of them work out it completely shapes this team differently. Unfortunately we had to try to fill those holes and the rest at the same time. Hopefully this team can stay healthy and continue to build.
Two of those, Best and Broyles were injured or had an injury (Best, concussed) when we drafted them..that's on the GM. The likelyhood of getting a second concussion after haVing one is great..and Broyles missed time in camp because of his..
Agreed.

Tons of players have had injuries coming in and get taken in Round 2 and Round 3. Broyles was durable in college until that injury. Started many years. You don't break a NCAA receiving record by being hurt alot of games. Broyles wasn't the first gamble that didn't pay off and not just by the Lions.
