You'd think if he was the first choice they'd open up a bit. Unless Tennessee outbid us by a lot. Or Maybew didn't even want a hybrid..

Get StartedCame down to money then? No brainer ...
cause that's ok? we just paid a coach millions to fire him. And we cant even pay "our guy" the right amount of money??? Im sure we'll get more of the story as time goes on....but this first detail really pisses me off. Theres more too it than just being outbid though....whiz definitely idnt think this was a very good job....just waiting to hear why.
Whisenhunt not running a 3-4 in Tenn. hybrid front.

Looks like the Lions purely got outbid. The Schwartz strikes again (Or Lewand, fucking drunk).
Don't believe it. Whiz did not care for the Lions front office and felt more comfortable with the culture and direction of the Titans. He also gets personnel control in Titan land. Not in Detroit. Not about money. This is media spin started by Lions PR staff.
apparently, Whiz also felt more comfortable with the area, since he used to coach at Vandy. more money, greater control over personnel moves, more cap flexibility, and a familiarity to the city of Nashville. i'd choose the titans over the lions in that situation too.
You have insiders? Because if you dont its pure speculation on your part.
I heard HIS comments on XM radio and alanclark did mention a little below. Whiz said nothing about money.
Lions are scrambling from a PR standpoint as also mentioned on XM this morning. They play'd their cards wrong by monitoring "the plane at the airport" coverage.
Stupid. All they do is put fires out left and right. Very reactionary organization.
Of course he never said anything about money. They never do
Well I was not being speculative as mentioned. I can only go by what the man said. Actually, everyone else is speculating.
