Lions draft grades

He's got a good track record overall. Draft and FA. Eye for talent. Only grade that truly matters.

He matters more than Charlie Casserly lol

nah he really doesn't. He grades very poorly at being able to draft. PFF says so.

Nope. He grades well. And even when he has a bad draft (2011) he makes the playoffs the same year.

Mayhew FA/trades and draft combined is one of the top GMs in the league.

A+ draft by Mayhew for needs and value. Building on a strong 11-5 season.

Lions set for all starters easily and deep at almost every position. Great job Mayhew.

Praise the man.

I think people use the phrase "A+ draft" about as much as "Elite QB" and "Shutdown Corner".

Way overused.

I'm 100% in favor of the draft they put together, and I would say B+ at best. Hell, I haven't seen an A+ draft in years.

And typically with time and guys washing out of the NFL, that grade goes down, not up.

I think Ansah slay warford is probably an A draft. But that's the only good draft he's had....

Don't forget Sam Martin in that class.

That's four starters... which I would give a B.

I mean, we're not talking high school report card here, where 4 out of 7 right is a failing grade, but still I think it takes a little more than that to get an A.

Tomlinson, Abdullah, Carter, Robinson... he may pull four out of this class as well.

2009 A, 2012 B 2013 A+
2010 there were good things, Suh, trades, Willie Young, Best for 22 games
2011 Fairley is a good player but had issues then it lacked. Young rookie year also good. Still made playoffs that year.
2014 TBD but value was good
2015 TBD but value and need were good
