Get StartedMost of those players don't give a shit about the city of Detroit...and why would they???
Did you talk to all the players?
why should they care about that shit hole of a city?
why should they care about that shit hole of a city?
Same reason you might care about the shit hole of a city you live in. What kind of silly question is that?
I doubt there is a single Lion player that lives in the city of Detroit
again speaking for the whole. always saying most, when he doesnt know jack
I doubt there is a single Lion player that lives in the city of Detroit
I mean think about the City of New Orleans being inspired during their run. Did you have to live there in a devastated part of town to be inspired?
Actually it doesn't matter where they live to be able to take issue with that statement. They play for the city of Detroit - which. in this case, is also the same place as the stadium is located.
You can identify with the city without living there.
So . . . yeah that is why they would care.
You don't have to . . . but to make a blanket statement about something you actually know very little about seems a bit argumentative for no reason.
There is nothing wrong with hoping those who identify with the city of Detroit are inspired.
At least those are my thoughts.
They don't play for the city of Detroit....they play for the Lions. The NFL is a business and the players are just employees.
My guess is most of them play for:
1) their paychecks
2) to win
3) for their teammates
Plus its not like most of these guys are going to live there forever, even in the suburbs. They're sports stars, they will move on..
Its not Barry Sanders or even a recent player, like Best is going to worry about Detroit's bankrupt.
Again speaking for the majority.
