Lions O scheme change

But if you want to "get me" with PFF.

PFF ranked Stafford's 2012 and 2013 higher than his 2011. And he was a top 5 passer in 2013 according to PFF.

And since you all though 2011 was a good season. You have to say 2012 and 2013 was a good season too.

2014 was a new scheme plus alot of pressure due to Oline injuries and lack of run support. Run support looks to be fixed. Now get Waddle and Warford healthy to fix the pressure.

He was not a top 5 QB according to PFF ever. You should be a politician, you love to skew stats to try and prove your point.

Pressure doesn't matter according to PFF, They take that into account when they are grading, they are judging how the particular QB does against the pressure compared to the average NFL QB.

You don't even understand what the basic goal of PFF is, yet you use them like they are gold.

He was top 5 passer per PFF in 2013. Fact. The most important QB rating.

And that is why PFF QB grade is flawed. They don't take into account pressure fully, weapon separation and they don't know the play call or the reads. They just weight the grades under pressure less. More pressure, means less oppportunity to see what the QB can truly do. Plus the whole first year scheme thing isn't taken into account.

PFF does a great job. Except for QBs. And even if you love PFF for QBs, then Staffford 2012 and 2013 was better than 2011 and STafford 2013 was a top 5 passer in the league. You lose this either way if you are going to shove his 2014 grade in my face.

I've said many times they are good at everything BUT QBs. QB is way too complicated for this kind of judging.

Stafford had some bad luck in the injury department and was in the first year of a scheme.

He looked good on Sunday and moved the ball. The picks were due to pressure. 28 PPG. Keep it up. And he looked good even with Calvin and Tate blanketed.

lmao...

HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA

lol

BWAHAAAAAAAAHAAAA

Tulloch had a bad Week 1 in 2014 in coverage. he rebounded until he got hurt. Stop overreacting.

No you are wrong. More opportunities give them more chances to see what they can do. So Stafford throwing the ball more than most, actually would mean their grade on Stafford is far more accurate than most QBs since they have the most data on him.

If they don't know the play call then none of their grades means a thing since they don't know what anyone's job on the field is. All I'm going by is their total game grades. I think his 2013 was slightly better than his 2014, however I think neither of the years were as good as majority of his peers of his pay rate.

Simply put I think he is the most inconsistent QB in the league. He goes from below average to above average. Overall he averages out to average at best. His game against the Giants last year (Game 1) was his best game in the past two years, If we can get 85% of that performance on a consistent basis then we can talk him being top 10.

No just no. Pressure takes away completion chances. You are wrong. Dead wrong.

And it's more difficult to have higher comp % with over 600 attempts especially under pressure alot.

2012-2014 was good. 2011 was elite receiving the proper health, number of weapons and run support

Stafford is a top 5 QB in the league and the injuries/new systems/lack of support make him look only slightly above average.

2014 there were 6 QBs with over 600 attempts. Stafford was last in comp% @ 60.3%
2013 there were 6 QBs with over 600 attempts. Stafford was last in comp% @ 58.5%
2012 there were 6 QBs with over 600 attempts. Stafford was 5th in comp% @ 59.8%
2011 there were 3 QBs with over 600 attempts. Stafford was last in comp% @ 63.5%

The only one he was better than was Luck in his rookie year.

Stafford is NOT a top 5 QB in the league. He is a tick above average...that is all.

Facepalm

Those QBs had run support, weapon support and better health around them. Why do you insist on only looking at one aspect of everything. Put it all together like I do. Attempts, weapons, pressure, drops, run support, health. They all factor in. And Stafford got screwed over while playing well on tape.

He's a top 5 QB!!!!!!!!!!!!! No matter what stat you give me. He's top 5 based on how he played despite his surroundings.

You NEED to take everything into account. Over 600 attempts is difficult. Especially in a new scheme with drops, with weapon injuries with high pressure and no run support.

so they all had perfect support, weapons, no pressure, run support, health....only Stafford didn't. There is a pattern here. 4 years of stats and he is always at the bottom. You are the only one that doesn't see the truth...you just make excuses for him.

Are you Stafford's agent or something? It's okay to admit the guy isn't as good as you thought when he was drafted.

He is who he is, and the statistics (which tell the truth) show he's a mid-tier QB who has flashes of great play, but is inconsistent FAR too often.

Even a lot of my friends who are/were the most ardent of Stafford supporters are beginning to waver a bit. I truly hope this team drafts a QB in the off-season if the Lions miss the playoffs and begins the next process of QB development with someone who can carry them further.

Stop putting words in my mouth. It wasn't perfect but they had much more than Stafford due to health of those 6 QBs.

They all had more than Stafford due to health and a run game. Health is the key.

2011 Stafford was elite. 2013 Stafford was 6th in TDs and was screwd by injuries to weapons and drops. 2014 Stafford had 11 wins and led plenty of scoring drives depsite no run support, weapon/RB/Oline injuries, new scheme and lots of pressure. He played outstanding in 2014.

Top 5 QB. The stats lie

So let me get this straight. PFF who is paid to provide stats, has former scouts working for them and are so good that 19 NFL teams use them, can't comprehend how to rate a QB.

But some dude that is a Lions fan can somehow watch all the games for every team and come up with ranking for QBs?

I thought bell was a top 10 back the second half of the season?

Oh your friends wavered lol. Who cares

Stafford is our QB the next the 10 years.

I sure hope not. It means this team hasn't gotten any better or found someone to replace captain average.

It's year 7. He either does it this year or it's time to start looking elsewhere. I couldn't imagine Stafford playing for a city that is actually critical of their players and display it all over the front page. He would have been run out of town three years ago.

Yes because every team had at least two top 10 WRs last year and a Top 3 defense. And a top 10 RB (According to you "the expert")

You notice the caps locks and !!! points on some of his posts? I think his troll persona is starting to break up a bit. Before it was the same 4-5 lines copied and pasted over and over again.

And Stafford's fingers were numb on his second int on Sunday due to the hit on the first in. Neither int counts against Stafford now.

And we won 11 games with Stafford doing his job. Nice lead and got screwed over in WC round. Played at Foxboro while GB was home for NE is the division champ difference after a split with GB.

And by the way, Stafford's worst games Pats,Zona, at GB. Calvin/Tate were blanketed. Same thing on Sunday but Stafford did pretty well at 63% with 8.2 YPA and 21 offensive points on the road. Every drive that stalled not his fault

If he's in the game, he can play, period. Don't want to hear that BS. If he can't throw a proper pass, tell the GD coaching staff.

If his hands are numb and he can only HURT the team, that makes it look ever worse on Stafford. Sometimes you need to put aside the tough guy persona and say, "I can't throw the ball, get someone else in here."
