I'll help you, it was the Dolphins "no name" defense in the 70's. To build a defense alone with late round picks is crazy talk but to build a superstar defense with basically scrubs is magical. And it takes skill of a scout and a shitload of LUCK.

well that's the kind of luck id gladly like to be talking about in regards to the lions. instead were stuck talking about injuries, tipped balls, players catching the ball then throwing on the ground so the other team can have it (durham), refs blowing 1 HUGE call every game, snow, wind, barometric pressure change, etc etc etc. That's why the lions are a joke and the seahawks are spuer bowl champs. Hopefully the new regime brings a bit of good luck with them.

understood tony....and in most cases id totally agree with you. For instance if it was JUST Sherman who was picked late and became the best....TOTALLY LUCKY. But the fact they have SOOOOOOO many starters on the defense that are overperforming and coming together to be the best.....its either really good scouting at EVERY position to get the exact guy they need for their system or REALLY good positional coaching...or REALLY good drugs. Maybe that browner scandal needs a bit more looking into. You guys realize they did all this without 2 of their top corners lol?

Hey, the Seahawks have a good scouting department. I'm not going to knock them but to do what they have done with later picks is crazy. It just doesn't happen in todays football.
Let's see how good that organization is run when all these late picks start asking for big money. Could get interesting...

Depends on their draft board. They could have had Sherman and maxwell ranked badly too but they were all that is left in round 5 and 6. Thurmond was a character risk.
