Last year I predicted 7-9 and even included their epic collapse in my game by game breakdown (didn't get each game right but got their 1-6 finish correct). This year I am a little torn. I think week 8 @ Atl will be a pivotal game. After that game I think they will either be 5-3 or 4-4. I think they should win all of their home games in the second 1/2 and lose all of their road games. It looks like 9-7 or 8-8 to me and unless 9-7 wins the division they will be missing the playoffs again.

You didn't predict or know shit. The Lions just happened to have turnovers and injuries.

Turnovers and injuries are only something the Lions deal with. No other organization has to overcome those.

Most of the playoff teams are pretty healthy and have a little bit of luck on their side for fumble recoveries. Picks were concentrated in 4 games and Stafford will figure that out especially with healtheir better weapons and less bad luck like 7 of his 19 picks.

that just isn't true. Every team has similar injuries over the course of a season. Some teams can over come them.

Yeah that's a total lie. Every team, playoff teams included have to deal with big injuries at some course of the year. Whether it be a lot of little ones that keep players out for 2-3 weeks, or losing an important piece for long, all teams do. That's football. Stop saying it's something that's exclusive to the Detroit football Lions.

I love how apparently the Lions never get lucky in any of their wins. How about Dallas getting an absolute bone head holding call that stopped the clock and gave the Lions a chance in a miracle comeback? Or Chicago failing on a 2 point conversion to tie the game? Or getting to play Green Bay without Rodgers? I mean come on man, it's exhausting, stop seeing things on one side.

Lions dominated most of that game. They for sure deserved to win and willed themselves to win with a great drive. Smith held because he got beat. Some calls are legit. That was one of them.

And through all that domination, they were down basically the entire 2nd half. They caught a HUGE break, and took a miracle drive to win. See, the Lions actually capitalized on a break that time, typically they have no clue how to do that, or the other teams know how to capitalize on the Lions' stupidity.

They gave up some long plays. Most of game the Lions moved the ball at will and stopped the Cowboys. Cowboys got a short field TD off pick too. Lions controlled that game. Cowboys shouldn't have even been in it other than 3 plays.

Detroit was -4 in the turnover ratio...which, of course, was simply bad luck.

Wilson lost his top 2 receiving targets for most the year. he won the super bowl.

Stafford lost his top 2 receiving targets for a couple games. the world ends.

But were just as talented as seattle, right?! lmao...

Wilson is on a cheap rookie contract for like 500k stafford is already paid. It allows Seattle to go out and sign whoever the fuck they want. Wait until Wilson gets his contract.

Tate was their number 2 and Baldwin is better than Durham. Yet Seattle took Durham in Round 4 over Baldwin. Seattles defense had 39 turnovers, ony reason Wilson was a winner. Wilson can't carry that team with a passing game alone. Stafford can carry Detroit with a passing game, I've seen it done.

Detroit's defense has that turnover capability and a better front 7 than Seattle. Slay/Bentley were young and devleoping and will be more aggresive now with Austin but have the talent to match the 6 picks tallied from Browner/Thurmond/Maxwell last year (4 Slay, 2 Bentley). Mathis has had better int seasons(one 8 in a season like Sherman) in the past. Houston needs to get healthy. If Sherman had a bum hamstring and toe injury he doesn't get 8 picks like 2013. Between Mathis/Houston (3 Mathis, 5 Houston) they can get 8 to match Sherman. 4 Detroit CBs can get 14 picks this year with aggression and development of the talented young guys. Quin/Ihedigbo (5 Quin, 3 Ihedigbo) can match the 8 from Thomas/Chancellor. Levy/Tulloch with 7 in 2013 did top the 5 Seattle LBs got and Detroit added Van Noy. So if they fall short at CB or safety by 2 picks, the LBs can pick up Detroit. And Seattle got a lucky one from DL Clinton McDonald. Detroit can get that with a tipped ball.

Detroit has a better front 7, better Oline pass pro, better QB who can caryr an offense and more weapons when healthy now by far with Calvin, Tate and Ebron, equal safeties and CBs are not as far off as you think especially with Browner and Thurmond GONE from Seattle.
