He's lost it..Even more than normal. I'm curious what goes on in his head..next he'll be telling us Stafford is Joe Montana.

Seattle equivalent to Lions injuries in 2013
Sherman with a bad hamstring from Week 4 and bad toe from Week 11 missing 4 games. Seattle screwed
Avril out 12.5 games. Seattle screwed
Bennett out 2.5 games and bum shoulder last 4. Seattle screwed
Chancellor out half a game on road
Harvin out 2 games, limited 2 others with bad fingers and knee all year (Harvin wouldn't play through it like Calvin)
Rice out 7 games with an arm brace upon return
Tate out 8 games
Marshawn Lynch out 2.5 games
Breno Giacomini out 9 games
Thurmond out 3.5 games (same time as Sherman)
Browner out 3 games
Okung out .5 game
Maxwell out 1 game (same time as Sherman and Browner)
Zack Miller out 2 games
top FB out 16 games
inaccurate kicker

Seattle couldn't overcome that with the Lions schedule.

The Lions schedule..:lmao::lmao:

I doubt even your supporters will agree with you there..

Tate was their number 2 and Baldwin is better than Durham. Yet Seattle took Durham in Round 4 over Baldwin. Seattles defense had 39 turnovers, ony reason Wilson was a winner. Wilson can't carry that team with a passing game alone. Stafford can carry Detroit with a passing game, I've seen it done.

Detroit's defense has that turnover capability and a better front 7 than Seattle. Slay/Bentley were young and devleoping and will be more aggresive now with Austin but have the talent to match the 6 picks tallied from Browner/Thurmond/Maxwell last year (4 Slay, 2 Bentley). Mathis has had better int seasons(one 8 in a season like Sherman) in the past. Houston needs to get healthy. If Sherman had a bum hamstring and toe injury he doesn't get 8 picks like 2013. Between Mathis/Houston (3 Mathis, 5 Houston) they can get 8 to match Sherman. 4 Detroit CBs can get 14 picks this year with aggression and development of the talented young guys. Quin/Ihedigbo (5 Quin, 3 Ihedigbo) can match the 8 from Thomas/Chancellor. Levy/Tulloch with 7 in 2013 did top the 5 Seattle LBs got and Detroit added Van Noy. So if they fall short at CB or safety by 2 picks, the LBs can pick up Detroit. And Seattle got a lucky one from DL Clinton McDonald. Detroit can get that with a tipped ball.

Detroit has a better front 7, better Oline pass pro, better QB who can caryr an offense and more weapons when healthy now by far with Calvin, Tate and Ebron, equal safeties and CBs are not as far off as you think especially with Browner and Thurmond GONE from Seattle.

no he wasn't....rice and harvin were the 1 and 2.

Lions are already equal or better in most of those areas. Hughes was talking directly about turovers. Turnovers is where they lacked with 13 less ints and 4 less fumble recoveries. I was just showing the potential for Detroit and the possible breakdown and that Detroit LBs were better at picks without Van Noy.

Hughes was talking about how other teams lose their top 2 wr targets and win the super bowl (rice and harvin were the projected 1 and 2,...not tate). WHile you keep shoving the fact calvin was out a couple games as to why we lost the division.

I didn't say any QB but you don't need a big priced QB to win..I know that's pretty basic but that's the point I was trying to make.

You can win with a high priced qb...if he makes the team better. If hes overpaid....he kills your teams ability to get better. Stafford needs to take a pay cut...

The Lions schedule..:lmao::lmao:

AFC North>>>>>AFC South
NFC North playing GB/Chicago/Min slightly tougher than NFC West playing San Fran(no Crabtree)/Zona/Stl aka junk offenses.
Lions still played at Arizona anyway. Seattle lost once to Zona. Seattle played Minnesota in Seattle. Lions beat Vikings at home too.
NFC South=NFC East (bottom 2 of East makes it equal and Philly is tough as champs, just as tough as Carolinaa)
Both played Giants.

Lions had the tougher schedule and tougher injuries for how they were built.

Seattle couldn't overcome our injuries. I listed them. Seattle wasn't injured at their strengths. Detroit was. Big difference.

lions played an easy schedule. NFC East and AFC north were horrible last year. PIT BAL both had down years. NFC north battled it out vs the NFC east as the worst division in football. Hence we got the number 10 pick vs all the other 7 win teams.

Nfc north is toughest division in football. And Detroit would be 6-0 in that division if Calvin didn't miss 2 games

Steelers giants and ravens had slow starts but got super hot. They are all experienced good playoff teams. And especially compared to AFc south that Seattle got AFc north way tougher

Lions outscored Arizona truly. Blocked and missed FG. Bush handed Zona 7 points on the fumble but they only got 3 starting at 7 yard line. Big non call hold to Fitz for a first down on the pass rush before the Ellington first Cards TD. Incidental hands to the face by Young that took away a fumble forced by Ansah and recoverd by Lions. Zona got lucky with that last PI (Lions never get that call, only 6 PIs all year with over 600 attempts) Lions won that game.

Zona got an extra drive after the Levy pick 6 for the yardage.

Tampa, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Giants were on hot streaks. Minnesota, the Lions were very injured and it took a fluke punt return for the Vikings win. And like I said they truly beat Zona.

Truly they didn't outscore them. Truly they lost. In you crazy morphed world the lions won.

The only people that believe in bad luck are losers that can do shit. They like to believe they lost because the world is against them, not because they failed.

Lions players would admit they lost because they weren't good enough.

you are an idiot!

I don't think Wilson makes that money down the road..not like Staff anyway. But it begs the question..or discussion..if you have a stellar defense and a solid running game you can draft a cheap QB and win..

Might want to check out kaepernick and retract your statement. Those well rounded teams will lose depth as soon as their young qbs get extended Already started in San Fran, soon will start in Seattle. It happened to Baltimore, Atlanta, New York giants, Pittsburgh, Chicago. The only teams that can have an expensive quarterback and win easily year in and year out are teams with the truly elites. Bree's, Rodgers, Brady, manning. I bet every single one of those teams mentioned have dropped off as all around teams ever since their quarterbacks were paid.

Doesn't bode well for us then does it. We were never any good to begin with!

Then why are we paying stafford that much to not be elite every year? And why are we extending him and resteucturing him to handicap the team even further?

Because he's actually a good QB? Tell me who else they could have brought in here the last 6 years that would be better than Stafford. Can't wait for this one....

russel Wilson...and it doesn't matter if russel is better than Stafford or not. But russel makes 90 mil less which would make our TEAM better....something Stafford doesn't do.

Russel Wilson hasn't proven he can carry an offense like Stafford does. And Seattle aren't big spenders in free agency which is where that money goes. Rice and Harvin were their big free agency/trade dollars but they didn't even play. And Avril was backloaded last year to this year, Bennett was on a cheaper one year deal. Lions could handle all those contracts and more. It's not solely about how much you spend on a QB that makes you a good team. Seattle could have still bombed on their draft picks even with Wilson cheap or got super injured on defense or had Lynch get hurt and not won the Super Bowl.
