Mayhew and Lewand Fired - Mayhew signs with Giants

Alright board, 2 of my avatars have been fired this season, who do you want next?

What will these new changes bring? Lol I'm glad we got rid of Lewand and all his backloaded contracts. So now Caldwell has this season at most before he's next? Tuning in to the latest installment of "the Perpetual Rebuild".

Proud of you Martha.

/sigh. I can finally exhale and have hope that the lions might improve in the future. Mayhew was garbage....im a big draft guy and just never thought he did a very good job in the draft. I used to joke about Xanders running the team but in all honestly I hope to god they do their due diligence and hire the right guy....not just promote the "next guy up." This was the first step that needed to happen in the rebuilding process.....atleast we got that done.

Stafford is 100% on the hot seat now. Caldwell gone after this year. We will see who the new GM blames. If it's a guy who wants a alot of cap room, Stafford could be gone.

Xanders drafted Tebow. Miller and Demaryius Thomas and Decker and Julius Thomas were some hits. And Orlando Franklin and Beadles

Its pretty good drafts that built a lot of what that team is today....also, you cant knock him for tebow....that was all mcdaniels.

Can you knock Mayhew for Ebron then? All Lombardi?

Mcdaniels demanded he had autonomy on personnel decisions. If we gave that same power to Lombardi then mayhew should have been gone a long time ago :p

Thank fucking God.....I was nervous after the shit posted on Lions website yesterday..made it sound like they might actually keep that regime around.

Btw, if the new GM wants to get rid of Stafford and CJ before next season for an extremely flexible 2017 cap situation, expect 2016 to be painful.

Lots of coaches get players they want. Ebron was ranked in that range we took him. He has improved.

But no worries for you, we will have a new GM now.

1 playoff win, I can deal with one more year of losses

Yep if they get rid of Stafford it's a full rebuild with Paxton Lynch or Goff. But that QB would have a really shitty Oline without a left tackle (barring free agency). We'll see who the new GM blames.

Stafford would cost 5.5 million (dead money) in 2017 if they don't do anything in 2016 with him. He's worth keeping around for 2016.
