Michigan Men's Basketball Recruiting

God damn it. And a day before my wedding. I had a great feeling on this one. Cal fucking sucks. They are the epitome of mediocre. He could have competed for a national championship at UM. Never happening at Cal.

I don't know, Cal has pretty much everyone coming back and added 2 stud recruits. I'd say they'd be just as likely as Michigan to make a run.

Cal I think hired the coach from Tenn who we beat in Sweet 16. This was huge for them. But I was shocked. I was sure it would come down to UK and Michigan.

I didn't follow his recruitment too close since MSU wasn't in on him, but I thought the same thing the last couple weeks. Only thing that I can think of is that he must have been tighter with Ivan Rabb than many thought.

We've had our share of these types of recruitment's the last couple years and they suck! It's like getting a handy under the table from the hot girl at the bar and then watching her leave with some asshole that you don't like at the end of the night.

5* Canadian PG Jamal Murray:

Per Paul Biancardi at ESPN, the 5* PG may visit Michigan soon. He has not stated definitively whether he'll be in the 2015 or 2016 class, but many think he's leaning toward 2015.

He should come where he will be properly welcomed.

Report: 2016 5-Star Shooting Guard Tyus Batle Decommits From Michigan

That freaking sucks.. I wonder what happened to change his mind? Maybe JB is just to clean of a coach?

Battle's situation is weird. Quote from his dad:

"Ty and I are not making any comments until we figure things out," Gary Battle wrote in a text message.

Asked to clarify the status of his son's reopened recruitment and whether Michigan is still involved, Gary Battle said, "If I knew then I could say but I truly don't until I sit with fam and talk to Michigan."

This seems more like a parental issue. Neither of them wanted him to go to Michigan but he committed immediately after being on campus and with coaches and players.

His dad seemed fine with the Michigan choice and his AAU coach pushed him towards Michigan. His coach is a big fan of JB's system and how Battle could play within the system.

I think his mom really wants him to stay close to home.

I don't understand why. Does his family realize that unless he lands with the Knicks or Nets that he's not going to be close by in a year or two when he enters the draft?

Agreed. It's not like he's going to school for 4 years or anything. This type of thing should be an issue for the Spike, Caris, and Zack Novaks of the world - Not for a kid who is likely to spend a year...or two in college.

And it looks like 4* PG Quentin Goodin has us back on his list after de-committing from Louisville.
