39-year-old Miguel Cabrera has had 1+ hit in his last 13 games, all singles.
Miggy is the second-oldest player in the modern era (since 1901) to have a streak of 13+ games with a hit and no extra-base hits behind Cal Ripken Jr. (13 games in 2001, age 40).

Stats

It?s going to be fabulous seeing future Hall of Famers Miguel Cabrera of the Tigers and STLCards 1B Albert at the All-Star Game this year, selected by Commissioner Rob Manfred for their ?career achievements.? Pujols is retiring after this year and Cabrera likely in two years.

Miguel Cabrera now has
505 HR, 27th all time, 4 behind Sheffield.

3065 hits, 25th, 24 behind Ichiro.

1835 RBI, 17th, tied with Palmiero, 1 behind Griffey JR, 4 behind Yaz.

604 doubles, 16th, 1 behind Molitor and Waner, 20 behind Aaron.

Looks like Manfred put him and Pujols in the game based on their career achievements.

Yes I saw this and the only question was if Miggy would be added this year since he is playing in 2023. Pujols has said he is retiring at the end of 2022.
Congratulations to both players. All-Time Greats in any era.
