Miguel Cabrera Triple Crown Watch

"Come on, it's the Triple Crown," Hamilton said. "It hasn't been done in how many years? If he doesn't win Most Valuable Player, I'm going to have to quit baseball. Mike Trout -- Rookie of the Year, Cabrera -- Most Valuable Player. Just how infrequently it happens tells you the value if it. I'm excited about it. It's good for the game, it's good for Miguel, it's good for the Tigers, it's good for baseball, period."

That's good right there. Its the freakin' triple crown and the last sentence by coke head says a lot.

Great ovation from the crowd in Kansas City as Miggy was lifted for Omar.

Harold Reynolds and Dan Plesac just said they don't think we'll ever see another offensive season like this one in our lifetimes. I don't think we will, either.

Great year, big guy.

Lol...as we type all this Granderson hits number 43. Don't even think about it you little prick...

ESPN confirmed Granderson's been pulled, and so does the box score.

Congrats, Miggy!

Hamilton really is a class act to be honest. And you know whats crazy is the rumblings if the Tigers don't win the WS this year Mr. I might make a run at him in the offseason lmao.

Hamilton is right. It is the Triple Crown and Miggy WON it. How do you not give the MVP to a freaking guy that accomplished that? It's been done like 13 or 14 times in the history of baseball. Are you fn kiidding me? It would be a travesty.

No knock on Trout. He's a stud, but he's no Miguel Cabrera. I'm so fn sick of people saying he's a "better" baseball player than Miguel. It's a joke. Miggy has been doing it "consistently" for years...YEARS! Trout had a phenomenal ROOKIE season. He's a fn child compared to the beast. Prove your worth, Trout because you can't even hold Cabby's jock right now.

If Austin Jackson had Trouts numbers instead, there would be no debate, Miguel would win hands down.

There have been 3 TC that lost MVP, Ted Williams twice I think. A long time ago but voters are stupid and vote for stupid reasons. Because this should be Cabrera's. It'd be a travesty if it went to trout.

I've seen plenty of debates on MVP in past years where defense wasn't even brought up and now its a main talking point. Its ridiculous. I'll say it one more time, you cannot compare one playing CF to one playing 3B.

And all these Saber-metrics to win an award are about as stupid as you can get. Leyland was right on when he said guys are suppose to knock in runs, that's what all managers ask for except award time, apparently, RBI suddenly are the most useless stat out there, makes no sense. We all complain we have a half AAA team. 139 RBI is huge and should be seen as huge.

Maybe they should change the triple crown to winning the WAR, UZR/150 and RF. Lol.
