Miguel Cabrera Triple Crown Watch

If yanks tie orioles tonight, they have a playoff game tomorrow. That would mean 2 games to try and get 4 homeruns for granderson in the bandbox. I would say thats far fetched, but it is yankee stadium.

Does the playoff game count for the regular season stats? Hamilton now 3 ABs with no HRs.

Teams have played 163 before and they all counted. I can't imagine, though, that a .220 hitter goes yard 4 times in 2 days.

Hamilton did jack shit today and Trout is 0-1 with a HBP in 2PAs. id say Miggy's got this in the bag, he'd have to go like 0-6 or something.

Speak of the devil, Grandy just hit number 42...3-run shot to put the Yanks up 3-1...

If he hits 4 I take full responsibility and will be put to death.

Earlier in the game, Trout gets caught stealing. Now he gets caught trying to score. Bad night for him.

Grandy k'd his next time up. Not that I thought he'd hit 4 HR but nonetheless, I breath easier.

Hamilton: Triple Crown makes Miggy the MVP.
Tigers third base Miguel Cabrera is closing in on the American League Triple Crown and there has been some debate about how important it is.
The debate mainly centers around whether Cabrera or Angels outfielder Mike Trout deserves the AL Most Valuable Player Award. Josh Hamilton, who was a Triple Crown threat at one point this season, is on Cabrera's side.
"Come on, it's the Triple Crown," Hamilton said. "It hasn't been done in how many years? If he doesn't win Most Valuable Player, I'm going to have to quit baseball. Mike Trout -- Rookie of the Year, Cabrera -- Most Valuable Player. Just how infrequently it happens tells you the value if it. I'm excited about it. It's good for the game, it's good for Miguel, it's good for the Tigers, it's good for baseball, period."

Hamilton led the AL with 130 RBIs in 2008 and won the batting title with a .359 average in 2010. He appeared to be a Triple Crown candidate early in the season after being named AL Player of the Month for April and May. But he went into Tuesday's game hitting .286 with 43 home runs and 127 RBIs while Cabrera was hitting .329 with 44 home runs and 137 RBIs.
"I still had a pretty good year," Hamilton said. "Just think if I hadn't taken off June and July. We'll work on that next year."

The players for the most part, think Miggy is the MVP.

Hamilton really is a class act to be honest. And you know whats crazy is the rumblings if the Tigers don't win the WS this year Mr. I might make a run at him in the offseason lmao.
