MSU @ Purdue

Beating IU and winning the BTT is a pretty tall ask considering our performances against Iowa and Purdue. Barring a miracle, third place is probably the best regular season finish we could achieve. But we have a decent shot at that - looking at everyone's remaining schedules ours seems to be the most favorable. Take care of business and we very well could finish ahead of uofm, purdue and wisco. IU has a big edge w/ just 2 losses but they also have the toughest home stretch of anyone.

I think we win out for the regular season, I don't see a game that really scares me. IU it tough and playing good basketball at times, they looked great vs UM and then awful vs PSU.

It's definitely possible - I'd expect MSU to be favored vs IU but unlike the mich game, I don't have a strong feeling on this one - partly because I've only seen IU a couple times. I can see it being close and I can see it being a blowout either way - I don't think all those outcomes have equal probability but none would shock me.

I like us against IU at home. IU looked good against UM, like every other pretty good team has. They are playing well in Big Ten play but don't offer the same challenges Maryland did. And after that the schedule isn't threatening at all. We should beat UW at home provided we dont turn in a Nebraska like performance and then what, OSU on the road? They aren't even as good as Michigan.

I mean yeah they could lose somewhere in there, but unlike a few weeks ago, the team is now playing well even with last night's loss.

The thing about being an MSU basketball fan under Izzo is that a loss like this isn't all that bothersome because we are counting on another deep tourney run. A Big Ten Title wasn't going to happen regardless, so now we are playing for seeding in the tourneys.

I would add the #1 seed was already gone as well. And this is why games like that are more important now. If we hadn't already spent all our bullets, we certainly have now.

Indiana looked pretty tough last night. I'm reassessing the likelihood of us blowing them out...

Who knows, if we come out like "the other team" (forbes absent, tragic johnson, not hustling and a few bad calls etc) we could get blown out. Not likely but Indiana could easily win this. We pissed 2 games away by 1 point so thats kind of frustrtating.

They're a run and gun team, I don't think they can beat us at that game.

They ran on the team than ran on us twice. Iowa can play fast and they pretty much led them the whole way. And they didn't let what everyone thought was a superior team control the tempo. I'm not saying we don't have a chance, just that IU is better than a lot of people seem to think - better than I thought as well.

IU is greatly improved without Blackmon, kind of turned their season around. They're finally guarding people for the first time in years. I think we match up well but keeping yogi off of the free throw line is priority #1
