MSU vs MTSU

I'd like to know how the hell they lost 9 games with the schedule that they had. Sure, they were hitting some crazy shots, but it didn't look like a complete fluke.

unless that game was a complete fluke, they're not a 15 seed

and I was thinking that Arizona loss would help with the Jackson situation - even though nobody thinks he is going there anymore. I wonder what he thinks of that result.

Or explain to him that he might be sitting a lot like davis did the whole year for no reason and if that would be ok with him.

That's what I'm worried about. Izzo just refuses to play talented freshmen. I've never understood it. I'm sure that reputation has hurt him in recruiting.

you have to be a good defender to play - not many freshman, even elite ones are ready to guard at the college level. I see the point but I think he is way too rigid with that rule. does he think they're gonna become better defenders watching coby wollenman?

Yet he doesn't seem to have a problem with Forbes, Harris and Valentine playing zero defense.

That was the biggest upset in tournament history.....IMO.

It's not the biggest upset in terms of spread (MSU was a 16.5 favorite). That goes to Missouri, a 21.5-point favorite over Norfolk State in 2012. The Tigers lost 86-84.

he's not going to understand that. he just wants tonstir the pot with his meaningless opinion.

it's probably blasphemous tonsay this but maybe he's not as good as everyone says. I think he is a very good coach but sometimes he does things that make absolutely no sense. there is NO way to justify wollenman or even Bess getting that many minutes. or goins either - even filler minutes, the guy hasnt played for over a month.

I couldn't believe that Goins got early minutes. He seemed to me that he was coaching like it was an easy win. Even after halftime I didn't sense urgency in his interview.

did wollenman play the last 6 or 7 minutes? at least the last 5, right? how can you give such critical minutes to Colby Wollenman, a guy that DECREASES your chances of winning? I was shouting at the TV "does Izzo think we are up by 20?"

He played the last 5+ minutes. I was screaming at the tv for every second of it.

Yeah but I doubt 25% of the world picked Missouri to win it all that year. Plus Missouri just wilted late in the game, meanwhile Sparty never lead once.

For all of those wondering about minutes for certain guys it was all about finding someone who could guard their stretch 4, Upshaw. Izzo used davis, Clark, goins, bess, schilling at 4 (which he rarely plays) and finally wolenman.

The one that surprises me is Clark only getting 3 or 4 minutes. Izzo sometimes treats defenders like relief pitchers, after you pull them they can't go back in.

Why do you even care? Just dry rub the hard on it gave you and go about your weekend.

One thing about this game that you can say in most close games but there were a few points where we were down 1 and gave up a 3 or 3pt play, then we were down 2 and had clean looks for 3 from Denzel and Forbes and missed. Those were killer

If Izzo has a fault its that he adjusts HIS lineup to match up with the opponent. Davis was cleaning up messes on offense and we could have used that in the 2nd half. In no world should Wollenman play over Davis in crunch time of a tourney game.
