Next GM and Head Coach

HOF QB with 1 Pro Bowl and 3 playoff losses. Lot of passing yards because the defense and run game always suck and they?re forced to throw.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/hof/hofm_QB.htm

The HOF monitor has him between Joe Flacco and Vinny Testeverde, good company there.

That's never a good place to be.

Not sure how much stock I would put in a list that has Cam Newton ranked ABOVE HOF Jim Kelly and Troy Aikman and only slightly below Russell Wilson.....but still.

Looking through their methodology, that 2015 season he won MVP and OPOY probably factored heavily into his total rating.

Russell Wilson, surprisingly, only has one 2nd team AP and several PB selections.

Methodology is terrible

Look at the game tape and what Stafford does for a team missing a run game and defense. Plus his stats. Accolades are media bullshit for the most part based on wins (that is not a QB stat)

Stafford is a Hall of Fame player based on game tape.

If he wins a Super Bowl with Lions, he should be first ballot. If he never wins a playoff game, based on his play, he should still get in. Plus the yards and TDS will be really high on all-time list if he plays to 39 40 like the recent QBs

To be honest.....there should NEVER be a list that has Newton ranked ABOVE Wilson.

Even on a "worst hair" list....Wilson's "soul glow" curls is ranked above Cam's....um....whatever is is you call his.

Wilson is ranked above him but it?s close. Newton has one extra season too, which closes the gap a little bit. The gap will increase after this season and I doubt Newton?s score goes up any significant amount the rest of his career, 2015 makes up a good chunk of his score.

I?m sure the selection committee will review all his game tape. I recommend 2009 vs Cleveland, where the legend was born.

Setting the world on fire finishing 19th in points for this year! Direct result of QB play. HOF!

WR drops, very little run game, no short fields, defense that couldn't get off the field.

Based on Staffords play, he would be first in PPG on even an average team EVERY YEAR

Good hire. Rams had some good drafts, hopefully some of that is on him.

Got a guy who helped take Aaron Donald. Ebron selection full circle nicely

Rams haven't had a 1st round pick since 2016. Snead trades them away. Holmes good on day 2 and day 3 which is what the Lions need badly

so you want Quin 2.0...just concentrate on players from your previous team?

Not all of the. But there are good ones available

Would take John Johnson to fix safety big time, Austin Blythe (solid guard if they give up on Vaitai) and Troy Hill (while cutting Coleman)

We'll see if they run true 3-4 too. Depend on the HC

If you're trolling the troll.....I have no problem with this statement.

If not.....

If you need some facts behind it his starting RB averaged 4.6 ypc in route to finishing 19th in scoring. How is that not on the QB?

The defense is so bad the offense gets the ball back almost immediately...plenty of opportunity to score and we didnt. How is that not on the QB?

Swift missed games and also didn't have that many carries. Also the Lions did score more with Swift in there showing its important to help a QB. Finally, the other backs did not have good YPC. Lions were very poor in yards per game and YPC rushing. So look at the whole outlook. Swift is good. Give him more carries and add a better power back as well on day 3 or FA.

Or are you trying to tell me the Lions had a good running game LOL

Stafford was 12th in TDs (basically doing it by himself). And that was in really 15 games (Tampa injury and missing some of Titans/Packers too). Top 10 in scoring if not for injuries. Top 5 if not for a terrible run game and defense. And don't forget about the two legit TDs that got taken away by the bullshit refs (Packers game and Vikings game to Jones)

Exactly! Give him more carries...e averaged 4.6 YPC! You dont think thats not on the Qb?

LOL its on the play caller and the plan for Swift. Plus he missed a couple games. The coaches put Adrian Peterson in the game a ton and KJ some in passing. Stafford can't run to the sideline and throw Peterson onto the bench. Peterson played 314 snaps. Swift 398 and some of that is obvious passing situations too. Swift will get more carries in year 2 but he will still share with another back. Swift is not a workhorse
