NFC Playoff Thread

Haha. The blah blah blah comes from you. You're the one taking about injuries and missed games.

That would be all of you when referencing GB and Chicago. GB still loses the games they lost and Chicago still loses the games they lost even without injuries.

Lions 3-0 finish better be glorious.

If you look at the injuries to GB and the Bears they are more significant than any injuries the Lions suffered.

That is bullshit. People just ignore Lions injuries for some reason. Just as significant.

Bears

Starting QB for all or part of 6 games
Lost best CB who was as recently as 2012 an all pro
Lost best LB lance Briggs (7x pro bowl, 3x all pro)

GB

Rodgers for all or part of 7 games...one of the top 3 QBs in the NFL
Lost Randal Cobb their best WR

The Lions have had some injuries to minor contributors...none with the impact that the above players have with their teams.

Calvin at Lambeau
Bush against seocnd half at Zona and at Eagles

They play those games. Lions have the division wrapped up already.

Plus 2 fluke turnovers in 4th against Bucs.

Lions injuries more significant. Pack still lose to Eagles, Giants, Lions,Bears with Rodgers and either Vikings/Dallas or Atlanta. Got lucky Atl sucks.

Bears lost to Vikings and Rams. That still happens. Ponder/Cassel and Clemens. Screw their defensive injuries and McCown>Cutler.

Plus Chris Houstons injury gave the Bucs and Packers a win on long passes.

And of course, Ansah, Bentley and Quin hurt against Steelers giving the Steelers a big 4th Quater.

Count the Lions injuries or don't count the Bears and Packers. You can't only count the Packers/Bears injuries. Lions just as significant.

so...you compare one game minus Calvn and a game and a half missing Bush to the losses of the significant players that GB and the Bears lost? THEY LOST THEIR STARTING QBS FOR A TOTAL OF 13 GAMES!!!

But look who they played. Flynn against a healthy Cowboys defense or a normal Falcons team doesn't win those game. There was no injury advantage for the other teams especially Dallas with Lee, Claiborne, Durant, Spencer out.

Bears D played Rams with Clemens and Vikings shit QBs. And still lost and even had a chance with a Gould FG to win against Vikings. McCown played better than Cutler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lions injuries just as signficant. And those games if they had Calvin or Bush turn to Lions Ws and the Lions already clinched this division. They were SIGNIFICANT INJURIES IN 3 LOSSES.

Lions had significant injuries in 3 losses and I would say 4 with Ansah, Quin and Bentley hurt against Pittsburgh.
Pack lost 4 without Rodgers. Bears lost 2 without Cutler.

Not to mention WR 2 and 3 for Lions. DE2 almost all year. Ansah for 2.5 games at same time as DE 2.

We lost Burleson for 7 games, Bears without Jeffrey for 7 games would blow.

Where would the Lions be without Stafford for 6-7 games, without their best WR for the season (Cobb); without their best LB? I can't compare the Bears losing an All Pro CB because the Lions don't have a player with that kind of skill set. They don't have that kind of talent in the secondary to lose. GB and the Bears have other injuries throughout the season that are similar to what the Lions suffered....every team does.

McCown played better than Cutler because he doesn't turn the ball over....unlike Cutler and Stafford!

You compare Burleson to Jeffrey? LOL. Burelson is garbage. Jeffrey is slightly inferior to Calvin Johnson....but not far behind!

Burleson was huge in several games this year. Needed in this offense just like Jeffrey.

Hill could do well. I know he could have gone 2-3 in the last 5 especially with the way the defense played against Chicago and Green Bay.

I still don't even know how losing the best WR for a game and a half and a good but not great RB for 2.5 games compares to losing an elite QB for half a season.

If Rodgers is healthy, the Lions are busy planning their golf trip right now.

The Lions are 4-3 without Burleson in the lineup. They are 3-3 with him playing. Not exactly a huge difference maker. It's pretty obvious he is not "needed" for the Lions to do well.

He is nowhere near as talented as Jeffrey at this point in his career.

In the games that Burleson played / had a catch the Lions are 2-3. In his 6 games he played he has averaged 4.7 receptions; 57 yards & 0.17 TD

Jeffrey averages:

5.7 rec; 90.4 yards; 0.5 TD

You also say Hill could go 2-3 in the Lions past 5 games. So the Lions are paying Stafford $120M when they could have the same results with a $1.75M backup??

Unknown. They could have still lost to Eagles, at Lions, Bears and at Giants.

Plus the Lions could win Lambeau with Calvin giving the Packers another loss and the Lions another win.

Plus Bush against Zona and Eagles could be Lions wins.

Lions could be 10-3 right now and Pack could be 9-4 (with 2 losses to the Lions) even you gave the Packers the Eagles, at Giants(who usually beat Pack), Vikings tie and Bears games as wins.

You gives wins for Rodgers but still assume Lions losses without Calvin and Bush. Not fair at all. They are huge players for Detroit.

Plus Bears lost to Ponder and Clemens. No matter who they lost on defense shouldn't have matter. In fact, healthy Bears D gave up 30 to the Vikings the first time around and Rams are hot at home lately (see beating Saints). Giving the Bears and Packers wins but just ignoring Lions injuries shows how completely jaded some of you are.

But in the end it doesn't matter. Flynn and McCown kept them a float along with Lions injuries/turnovers/weather/blocked FGs/some big plays allowed.

Pack/Bears are the lucky ones right now.
