NFL Draft Thread 2017

They can do that?

Yeah, he had a loss of value policy.

It can pay up to $2mm in his case if an injury hurts his draft status.

He doesn't just get $2mm automatically, he gets the estimated difference between his contract value and the final pick of the 2nd round.

Part of me would like to see a RB in rd 2, especially if Mixon or Cook are available, but i haven't given up on Abdullah yet. He only played 1 game last year but looked really good and has averaged like 4.5 yards per game in his career. The oline shoild be much better which would further reduce the need for a high draft pick RB. I'd rather they use the next few picks on a pass rusher or CB

What's the benefit for the insurance company, assuming he goes before the end of round 2.

That's the problem, only one game. Plus, I'd like a bigger back.

They are expensive policies to get, and they usually don't get used.

You can insure anything. If you've ever seen one of those golf tournaments where if a guy hits a hole in one he gets a million bucks.. it's insurance. They weight the risk vs. the odds and charge a few thousand bucks to insure it.

The tournament doesn't actually pay it.

Tina Turner once had a $10mm policy on her legs. You can literally insure just about anything.

I love Abdullah , looking over the safeties and cornerbacks there should be a nice pick for us in the 2nd

Passed a polygraph.

Still a huge gamble. Innocent kids go to jail for bogus rape charges all the time. All she needs is one reliable witness or piece of evidence that vaguely makes him look guilty.

It isn't..? I thought only psychopaths could pass one..

No. The first three questions of any polygraph set the baseline for your heart readings. So you put a thumb tack in your shoe. When they ask your name, step down on it really hard.

Hurts like hell, but your readings will go ballistic. Throws the baseline off. First question is always your name. Do the same for the next two.. you'll "pass" every time.

Polygraph can't actually tell truth from lie, it just measures your levels of stress. Everyone, even complete liars, will stress as they lie.

Any lie you tell from there with seem tame in comparison.

You can also use any sedative, including weed, to keep your levels lower.
