Let me explain myself then.

My personal opinion is that LKP is deliberately posting to try and annoy people and nothing else. He is pretty much exclusive to the Lions board, so I don't see that happening anywhere else. I do not think he believes half the stuff he says and it's clear to me he posts things in a purposeful attempt to try and rile people up and create these cycles of pointless arguments.

My dislike has nothing to do with his overly positive opinions on the Lions. Tony is positive all the time, and I like Tony a lot. I feel LKP is not being genuine, and that is what I don't like.

People can disagree with that, but that's how I feel about it. I will go the ignore route though.

He started being that way when other people started being unrealistic on the other side. Like the tons of cut Stafford and start over people. To me those are equally as stupid as LKP being a troll of positivity.

I have been a Stafford supporter from day 1. Overrating him in the past based on nothing more than my opinion.

That being said.....the 1st half of 2015 the talk of cutting #9 was more than valid. He was pretty damn bad. I even thought it might be time to turn the page.

Cutting him is stupid...correct.

But if we continued down that path of horrible play (we lost to 2 of the worst teams in the league at that point) and finished with let's just say a 4 win season, then i wpuld have been fine with blowing it all up and starting over. You have rookie 4th rd draft picks playing at just as high a level as stafford. Stafford is not the guy to elevate your entire team. He doesn't cover up a bad defense. He doesn't outplay a bad oline. He can't make up for a horrid run game. We've seen all those seasons play out already. ..he can't over come it. You can win with him sure. But everything around him needs to be good. At that point a rookie making 400k can do the same in this day and age. He leads us to 4 wins this year. ...i bet leadership would have had a looooong conversation about whether or not to keep him. Lucky for him we finish above that.

Also small sample size for dak. Most 4th rounders aren't like that. So it would be incredibly dumb to cut Stafford. 4th rounders typically don't match Staffords play even if you have one or two examples. I can give 50 that dont

And we aren't a bad 4-12 team. We are a good 10 win or more team

Or you want to waste a first on another qb. That doesn't make the team better. It wastes a first when we already have a good qb.

Any gm should be shot if they just flat out cut him

If this season went to shit Quin would have to decide if Staffords money could be better spent on pieces to help improve this team. The dline is awful, Lbs probably the worst in the league, everyone in the secondary not named Slay is a bandaid or about done in this league. At this point i doubt he has to make that decision. But couple different bounces of the ball and we could have been talking about this alot at the end of the year.

Lions have cap space. Zero need to trade stafford for cap space. Its nit either or. Its keep stafford and still had talent

Gambling on a carr or dak, there are so many failures in those rounds. Plus stafford is looking elite not just above average. You dont trade elite

No....they should let Carr go in 9 years when hes making 30 mil a year and the raiders still arent winning anything. Theres a big difference....
