Patriots probably deflated balls

Wow, the Pats are bracing for a 6-8 game suspension for Brady.

Seems a bit much when they only gave 2 games to Rice for knocking his fiance into next week.

And still no one is attacking the admitted over-inflation game. Why is that? That one has evidence from the individuals involved statements...yet...chirp, chirp, chirp. If the under-inflation game deserves something, so does the over-inflation game. Am I the only one who gets that??? The proof is right there for the league to penalize the Pats (read, NOT Brady...but the Pats org) without any further proof required. Instead everything is about the under-inflated game because they are getting far more money out of Brady potentially being guilty. Both events should have the same degree of penalty, since Brady was aware during the game and continued to play with the over-inflated ball and didn't report it to the refs.

What game did the NFL test the balls and determine they were over inflated?

What Brady did is the equivalent of scuffing a baseball which is a 10 game suspension.

Give him 1-2 games and shut the fuck up about it.

My issue with this entire thing is this....a ref handles the ball on every single snap that Brady has taken during his entire career, but no one has ever noticed anything funny with the ball. That's why I have a hard time caring about this issue.

No I know he's guilty as fuck as far as the violation goes...I don't believe a word out of his mouth...he obviously told those dudes how he wants the football....but I just can't get myself to come around to view this as an actual big deal.

I think any time you bust a guy cheating, it becomes a big deal, and you have to send that message to him and all the other players that it won't be tolerated.

Okay, suspend him a couple of games and drag him through the mud.

But you're right, I just can't find myself caring too much, because I doubt he's the ONLY guy doing something he's not supposed to do to get a competitive edge.

It is mentioned in the Wells Report, that in that game Brady said it felt like he was throwing bricks and after the game they tested the balls and they were over-inflated, which led Brady to read up on the PSI rules and then him telling the assistants to inflate only to 12.6 and have the rule book ready if officials challenged why balls were at 12.6.

So they clearly had a game with over-inflated balls which is a rules violation...but chirp, chirp, chirp about that.

When are they finally beginning to test for HGH? (or numerous other performance enhancers currently not being tested for use but undoubtedly are...and when will they stop guys from taking pain killers during a game so they can play through the pain?)

But yes, THIS is definitely detrimental to the game and warrants millions being spent to investigate it instead of testing for PIDs. Haters gonna hate, networks gonna make.

The point being the NFL didn't test the balls. How can you punish if you are not 100% sure they were outside the rules? They know they were under inflated, they tested.

So Brady can feel a bit over inflated but can't under inflated?

Just too be clear, do you think Brady knew and instructed to under inflate? Or do you believe these two did it on their own?

Can't tell if your upset because you think he is completely innocent or because there isn't enough evidence to without a doubt prove he did in your opinion.

So you make the assumption individuals are on HGH...where is the proof you demand on that? Lovers are going to love. Deflectors are going to deflect.

I think there's a big difference in assuming players are on HGH, and saying a guy is cheating.

He's asking for proper testing, not discipline based on an assumption.

Given the size of today's NFL players, it's fair to speculate, and to ask for testing. But I don't see him calling any specific person out without proof of guilt.

It was a reasonable statement.

To be clear, my OPINION does not matter because there is not enough evidence. Just like your opinion, the lead investigator, the media, etc. The lack of evidence is an issue, Brady's provided plausible deniability, and there is a historical record that demonstrates trainers or others have done things without consulting players or coaches to give their side an advantage so to say it is impossible for the assistants to have acted alone is historically inaccurate, which means the historical record adds to the plausible deniability.

Now, would I prefer Brady's image be tarnished? Pretty sure it has been regardless, but I do find him arrogant to a degree that I hope this provides a correction. Do I want him suspended if evidence supported Brady requested the deflation? Considering the "cheating" factor, a 2 game suspension would be warranted, but people have done worse and received lesser discipline so whatever. It isn't like Pats would forfeit their SB win or anything, so how much punishment will actually impact things to greater extent than the now tarnished legacy (but honestly, Pats were tarnished long ago) of Brady.

Damn dude, if you cannot understand that I have a bigger issue with guys using HGH and the NFL not having any testing for it than whether or not Brady told the assisstants to deflate footballs, then this conversation is over. It isn't deflection, its having one's priorities and morals squared away. There is definitely a problem with the NFL not testing for HGH for so long. Even if only one guy is ever found guilty of using it, they need to have it included in the testing already taking place, and if you put busting Brady for Deflate-Gate ahead of that on the cheating priority list, then you are absolutely a Hater.
