PFF Review Week 5

So is Stafford having issues reading a defense when the play call isnt "calvin you run Ill throw the ball up"

I don't know how comfortable he is with the offense. I would think quick decisions with the ball come from pre snap reads. A lot of the sacks/hurries look like they come from him going thru progressions and him deciding no one is open. At the same time hes missing wide open guys.....so if hes reading the defense correctly he should be able to read who has a better chance of being open and get the ball out.....doesn't happen nearly enough.

Some how Andrew Luck just threw a TD pass while under pressure, actually took a hit. Guy was covered, but he threw it to a spot where only his guy could catch it.

I thought that wasn't possible..how can a QB be successful while facing a bit of adversity?

JJ Watt has been kicking Luck's dick in all game long. Andrew Luck is on PEDs, I'm convinced of it.

No kidding. I've seen it a few times where he hangs on the ball forever and throws a nice pass..good game tonight.

Hate to call you out on this one, but Hughes was saying RT was a spot that should be addressed. He suggested drafting Lewan. But I agree with your general point that it seemed like the O-line would be fine this year.

Lewan was one of my guys as well, but I didn't really care that much. I thought Waddle did a fine job. All I'm saying is that people weren't screaming for a OL that early.

I thought the team was holeless..we got guys that added depth, a new stud TE, no Durham as the number two..rookies in their 2nd year, more improved play at OLINE since its another year together..

All your BS amounts to jack shit..congratulations you're number 1 on "don't know shit about football" list.

But you wrote that list. In your own blood...it's yours....you OWN it.

The team is holeless with Calvin playing. Losing Calvin creates Oline holes apparently. And the sacks aren't just Stafford.

Holeless, ie having no running game, an offensive line that was not playing well before Calvin got hurt, and a QB that is near the bottom half in QB efficiency? That type of holeless?

Oline did better with Calvin. Had some RT injuries then too as the problem. Clearly if you watched you would know that.

Stafford doing well too until sacks/penalties were killing drives.

Run game, Bush and Bell have proven success in the past. Still not a hole.

Every team in the NFL has holes. The three teams that sit 4-1 all have holes.

If the Lions were holeless, they'd be 5-0. They have plenty of problems. When the Patriots went 16-0 in the regular season (about as holeless as you can possibly be), they still had an average running game. It's the NFL.

You can fill your holes. Sims playing poorly one week and Bush/Bell running is a temporary hole already filled for Week 6. And kicker was filled. Bush/Bell clearly have the talent to not be called a hole.

Our 3rd string (off the street)/4th string Right tackle stunk when Waddle/Hilliard went down. Big deal.

Not every hole can be filled.

Every team, ever, in ANY league, has holes. Teams that win championships have a hole or two, they just knew how to deal with them.
