Pistons Trade ideas

I like the first trade idea one with Conley the Best. The second one is ok. I am not fan of Fournier for our #1 being part of the package.

btw none of these will happen in my opinion.

When was the last time we made a good trade that made a difference?

Can?t remember although Ellington ended up better the Bullock shooting from three. But maybe Wallace. Heck idk.

There are a lot of move the Pistons will have to make. Smith probably will be gone unless we resign him. Hopefully we can find a Seth Curry type. I also liked DJ Augustine when he played with Detroit. Or just resign Smith.

Here's a look at what the Clippers made out of the Griffin trade. Would you rather have Griffin or all of the pieces the Clippers got out of that trade? Jerry West is a mad genius.

The problem with the Griffen trade it was just the wrong year to do it. He works If we're on the cusp of a Championship not a non playoff team.

I agree. Griffin had his best season yet and carried a very flawed team to the playoffs. I'm just worried because history suggests he won't always be this healthy. And even this year he was really banged up at the end.

Go get Russell Westbrook. Makes us a definite playoff team and might help attract other pieces. Hell, give 'em all the 1st round picks they want. Any pick outside the top 3 these days is a total gamble. Maybe we can start identifying the next Kris Middleton or Spence Dinwiddie and make another team regret not developing them.

I?d love to have Westbrook just not sure how the Pistons could swing it.

Here is a potential way to get Westbrook but the price it just to step it would be around
Jackson, and or Snell, Maker, Mykhailiuk and some second round picks. Okc would probably ask for number 1?s. I really feel we should give Mykhailiuk a chance. We received him from the Lakers in the Bullock deal. I think he will be a really good back up and spot starter.

nba trade machine says if we trade all 4 players for Westbrook we improve by 6 wins.
And okc drops 8 wins LOL!

Westbrook's contract make's Blake's look team friendly.

Don't see players star players stay with their drafting team for 11 years these days. Props for that.

I can't stand Westbrook but he is still a superstar.

If OKC really wants to blow it up here is a deal that sends 3 guys with 1 year left and one with 2

Jackson, Galloway, Rose, Thon plus 2 #1 picks for Westbrook.

The Pistons would be instant contenders in the East.

I do agree with you. I really can?t stand him but he would make us way better with Blake.

Russell Westbrook would make this team better, I don't think there's any question about that. The real question is whether he is worth the long term investment. Great as he is, his contact will not be tradeable in a couple years.

Right about the point Westbrook starts looking like an albatross, our other big contacts end. Without Westbrook, the team finally has the opportunity to pivot to an actually rebuild. With Westbrook, we probably are forced to tread water through his contact.

Given how poorly this team has done identifying talent and team building, I have zero trust in them actually resetting properly. Given that, I'd rather be better now. If Westbrook is willing to come here (and I don't think OKC sends him somewhere he hates), I say go for it, but give up no picks after 2021. His huge money makes giving up anything after our stars leave unjustifiable.

How does everyone feel about the moves they have made so far? I think if healthy we are a few wins better then last season. Say around 45 wins. Hopefully one of the younger players hit!
