Scoreboard Watching 2011

Isn't Kennedy the guy that came from the Yankees in the same trade that sent Scherzer here? Seems like it might be working out a LITTLE better for the D-backs right now. Kennedy leads the NL in wins over Halladay...that's something right there...

6.5 up on the Idiots...7.5 up on the Sux...I'm a happy guy...

"Like I said, it doesn't matter how it shook out," Konerko said. "It doesn't matter if it was a see-saw battle or anyway it happened. The end result was a loss, and that's that. You've got to get 27 outs. Score more runs than the other team by the time the last out is made. End of story." --Paul Konerko

Way to go Captain Obvious.

He was indeed.. Also the Dbacks just hit a bomb off Lincecum and are up 2-1. If they win this, the Giants could be done..

Nice to see another team got their asses kicked by Luke effin Hochevar.

Yeah it took about a month after Buster Posey got hurt to start to affect the team. But when it hit, it hit like a Mack truck...

BTW, have guys heard of the Goldschmidt kid that the D-backs brought up? He homered off Lincecum for the second time this season in the game tonight. Almost dead-center at AT&T Park. In case anyone doesn't know that's a blast. The kid hits the ball a very very long way. Glad they didn't call him up until after interleague...he coulda made Comerica look like a shoebox...

That was a huge loss on a somewhat controversial play.. The offense is downright fecal for the Giants.. Even with Brian Wilson on the DL, the pitching has still been carrying the team.. Matt Cain, Bumgardner and Lincecum have been on fire recently..

They featured his swing on MLB Network and he straight up hits bombs... Has a true power swing and kind of reminds me of a poor man's Mike Stanton..

LOL @ Weaver getting destroyed by the Twins... HAHAHHAHAHA!!!! Triple crown for JV!!!

Over at rotoworld they are saying that both sizemore and kipnis should be returning to the indians this week.

Indians manager Manny Acta said he expects Grady Sizemore (knee, hernia) to return sometime this week.
That's what's been assumed all along. Sizemore has gone 4-for-8 at the plate in his two rehab games, so he certainly seems ready. It would be a surprise if he's not in the lineup Monday for the opening game of the big series against the Tigers.
Indians manager Manny Acta expects Jason Kipnis (hamstring, oblique) to return from the disabled list sometime this week.
Kipnis has said he plans to be activated Monday, though Acta has hinted it won't be that soon. The Indians begin a three-game, do-or-die series with the Tigers on Monday.

I know crap....come on Royals....get to work...

twins liriano is likely done for the season, and blackburn is shut down too.
from rotoworld

Liriano has a left posterior shoulder strain, and although the injury isn't considered serious, it's the second time he's dealt with it this season, so shutting him down just to be safe makes sense. The owner of a 4.84 ERA and 1.47 WHIP this season, Liriano is arbitration-eligible this winter for the last time but might end up being trade bait if the Twins choose not to extend him.

Twins transferred RHP Nick Blackburn from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
The move effectively ends Blackburn's season. The Twins had expressed optimism when he went the DL that he would be back late in the year, but he had yet to resume throwing and obviously wasn't progressing as hoped. Blackburn's season ends with a 4.49 ERA and 1.60 WHIP over 26 starts.

Mike Moustakas representing the tying run at the play bottom 7...bases loaded 2 outs...giving Tony Sipp a battle...
