Sick and Tired

LMFAO at saying they have no faith in Stafford. Stafford threw a big 3rd down to even get them in that position. They ran the ball once on 1st down, then they wanted to get it to the hash they wanted so they ran it again.

say what ever you want and use capitols to try to prove your point more....but the FACT is they took the ball out of Staffords hands on the last set of downs.

Don't want him there either... Whines constantly about the team, says hes going to stop watching... Continues to watch and whine. I think he quit watching the Tigers about 12 separate times this past season.

These boards should have an ignore poster feature so that all you whiners can stop whining about whiners. 12 is an exaggeration to, I think it was more like 3 or 4.

Really, because Houston did the same thing.......and they won. Hanson missed a FG he hits 95 out of 100 times. It happens.

It sucks, but it happens.

Actually Hanson wad 24 of 32 in that situation before that miss

On second down, the d is already playing vs run because they believe u r playing for fg after 1st down run...y not do play action there and pass the ball.

They used the offensive equivalent of the Prevent Defense...which prevented them from winning.

Do you know what exact distances that figure was from......no, you don't. 47 yards to that guy in that stadium is almost automatic.

Just wasn't Thursday.

Horrible idea. Watt was unblockable by our O-line at that time and had already sacked Stafford twice in that situation IN THAT GAME!!!

Taking the chance to take yourself out of FG range at all is a very high risk/high reward move. I agree with the choices made on that drive. Execution was awful and Hanson missed a kick he normally makes.

Shit happens.

If Staff dropped back to pass and was immediately sacked this board would have absolutely been screaming to fire Linehan, fire Schwartz etc. for calling such a stupid play when you were easily within FG range. And the first thing they would have brought up would have been the 2 sacks that already happened in the 4th quarter that pushed us out of FG range. Insanity...doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Hindsight is easy. Bad snap, missed kick.

We'll never know what would have happened. Maybe they would have gained 5-7 yards. Maybe he gets sacked, maybe there's a penalty, maybe it's just an incomplete. But one thing I know about this board is that no one trusts Linehan in that situation. The play call is going to be for a very short gain so I don't think it's worth the risk/reward. People complained earlier in the game when Staff threw deep to CJ in the end zone on 2nd and 10 when we were on the edge of FG range.

Exactly right. I can only imagine what EVERYONE would have said if Stafford had taken the snap, play actioned left and turned around right only to get DESTROYED by Watt......fumbled the ball......and lost possession.

I'm sure ZYXT would have been applauding the play call at that point!!!

If hes sacked....then you throw the ball on 3rd down. If hes sacked again...then you fire your entire offensive line and you deserved to lose.

The mindset is what it is I guess, and for as long as it's around the franchise will continue to disappoint. kick it now because we have no faith in our line we'll lose more yards! and or somebody will just end up fumbling it or dropping a pass, all probably true but its the fans that are supposed to think like that, not the coaches. next time just kick it on 1st down and don't even run it twice might be even better!

lol
