When I was in college driving on campus got stopped going 12MPH in a 10MPH posted speed limit. I had to pay a fee.

Small fee for a small infraction. Makes sense.

This has been "the biggest scandal in B1G history" spin for a very small infraction.

Pete Thamel is reporting that the Big Ten is prohibiting Harbaugh from coaching on the sidelines on game days for the rest of the season. He is allowed to coach during the week.

people are responding as though it's a fact already. Who knows?

Someone also said the Big Ten hasn't presented us with any actual evidence of what Connor Stallions did.

We could sue them and enjoin enforcement... the Big Ten would be pissed, but fuck them, hitting us with with bullshit in the midst of the season.

This is some really unprecedented bullshit on their part.

Here's the official release; he can't coach the team on game days, from the field or the booth:
As a penalty imposed on the institution, the University football team must compete without its Head Football Coach for the games remaining in the 2023 regular-season, effective immediately. This disciplinary action shall not preclude the University or its football team from having its Head Football Coach attend practices or other football team activities other than the game activities to which it applies. For clarity, the Head Football Coach shall not be present at the game venue on the dates of the games to which this disciplinary action applies.

SUE them.

Maybe Scallions can hook him up with one of his clever disguises to get him on the sideline.

It is not just by chance that this whole thing has come at this most critical point in the season. This was planned by the perpetrators of this hoax to give advantage to PSU and OSU. SUE THE B1G's ASSES OFF! Pettiti should start looking for a new job.

Michigan has already leaked a story about regents discussing leaving the conference if they suspended Jim. How fucking stupid are these people to bite the hand that feeds them? How fucking stupid does Petiti have to be to be duped by these ADs, particularly Haller, and putting the idiotic "player safety" take into an official document? It's hilariously hypocritical that Haller is allowed to sit on the Mel Tugger information for 9 months for "due process" but is the oldest voice demanding Michigan be punished without it. It's going to be even more funny when Michigan leaves and the TV deals crumble and leave their shitty second-rate program with crumbs.

Michigan will get a TRO by the end of the night. They'll get an injunction next week. And I would fully expect them to be lobbying ND, USC, UCLA, Oregon, Washington and several other programs with similar academic and athletic profiles to form a new conference. It wouldn't be difficult to convince the west coast teams since they're coming in on a partial revenue share and a conference headline by Michigan, Notre Dame and USC would have their pick of TV deals. And no, OSU is not invited. You started this shit, you can fuck off.

They've all over played their hand. Time for Michigan to take their ball and go home.

An actual quote from Petiti's letter:

We impose this disciplinary action even though the Conference has not yet received any information indicating that Head Football Coach Harbaugh was aware of the impermissible nature of the sign-stealing scheme. This is not a sanction of Coach Harbaugh. It is a sanction against the University that, under the extraordinary circumstances presented by this offensive conduct, best fits the violation because: (1) it preserves the ability of the University?s football student-athletes to continue competing; and (2) it recognizes that the Head Coach embodies the University for purposes of its football program.

"We know we have no evidence but we're doing this anyway".

So apparently ESPN/Thamel reported the suspension 30 minutes BEFORE Michigan was officially notified by the league. Not to mention this cowardly twat did this while the team was on a plane to State College. Anyone who denies the malice in this process at this point is a clown.

Maybe Scallions can hook him up with one of his clever disguises to get him on the sideline.

Or maybe Stalions can get him some sweet seats across from the OSU sideline so he can steal and relay signals to a student who can then do whatever he/she would like with them because they're not a staffer.

It would be pretty sweet trolling if a bunch of OSU fans wore CMU sideline gear and Ray Bans to the game - draw on some goatees if they don't already have them.

look at you throwing around the lawyer terms. Did you have to look those up or ask a colleague?

Good! I honestly wish UM would start leaking to Michigan insiders that they are exploring membership options with the ACC. Let them release that and have the B1G collectively shit their pants.

That's one way to get ND back on your schedule every now and then...

Everyone panic, we may be down to 15 teams and collectively we'd probably make fewer softball tournament appearances.

SI reporting that Michigan?s board of directors has talked about leaving the B1G. Lol! And go where?? To be a .500 team in the SEC. No chance.

Might as well join the MAC. Strength of schedule would be the same.
