SO YOU WANT TO BE THE MANAGER?
Totally Tigers

We?ve been challenged while we wait for baseball to arrive. Challenged to deliver. And with the challenges come new ideas, so we have one for you beginning today, appropriately titled So You Want to be the Manager?

This new segment will test our readers in determining who they think should win position battles heading into the season. So, here is your first assignment as Tiger manager. Let?s get to it!

Christin Stewart hit almost 100 homers during his 5 minor leagues seasons.
In his 104 games with the big club last season, he hit 10 in 416 plate appearances with 103 strikeouts. His offensive production ultimately will determine his place in the lineup, as his defense in left field needs work.

As the Tigers #5 overall pick in the 2019 draft, Riley Greene played a lot of center field in the minor leagues during his tour through 3 levels last season. This year, he has played primarily in left during both spring training and the current summer camp. He has shown his athleticism in the outfield, making highlight reel catches. He?s also had success at the plate as well, having the best slash line out of all 8 outfielders. But he?s only 19 with 1 year of minor league experience.

So, if this is the position battle for left field, as the manager, where are you leaning? Will it be Stewart or Greene?

Please participate in the poll and vote for your choice.

As Tiger manager, who is your choice for the starting left field position?
1. Christin Stewart.

2. Riley Greene.

Vote.
