The first #OpeningDay starter of the millennium was Hideo Nomo. He pitched 7 innings, allowed 3 runs and struck out 8.

So I’m watching highlights on the news of the Dodgers Diamondbacks exhibition game that was played in Dodger Stadium tonight - I didn’t watch it live but I did have it on the radio while I was driving around on business - and I noticed it looked like protective netting had been extended all the way down to the foul poles for the very bottom level of the stands.

And I found that kind of ironic because - ya know...
