RAPID FIRE.
Totally Tigers

This week, let?s take a look at the track record the Tigers and their players are establishing. Usually, we like to wait at least 40 games before assessing, but hey, MLB may not even get to 40 games this year!
It?s all about first impressions and Holly and Kurt have exactly 2 sentences in which to give their opinions and make their cases. Let?s get to it!

1. Are you surprised at the team?s record so far?

2. Which player has been the biggest surprise to this point?

3. Which player has been the most disappointing so far?

4. Who is the team?s most valuable player so far?

5. Should the Tigers be aiming for a playoff spot?

Locked On Detroit Tigers Podcast: Matt Boyd Is Bad. 21 minutes.

Matt Boyd got completely rocked (again) yesterday! Chris spends most of the show diving into his awfulness and discussing the repercussions of not dealing him at the deadline last year. In segment two he talks about Victor Reyes, who is strangely the most controversial figure on Tigers twitter.

SO YOU WANT TO BE THE MANAGER?
Totally Tigers

Once again, readers get a chance to make their own decisions about the Tigers. Our newest blog, So You Want to Be the Manager? offers you that opportunity.

The segment tests our readers in determining how they would handle decisions as the skipper. So, here is your next assignment as Tiger manager. Let?s get to it!

Matthew Boyd has looked far from the ace of the staff in the early going this year. Yet to win a game through 4 starts, Boyd has an ERA over 10, a WHIP of almost 2 and has served up 5 homers in just over 19 innings of work. Thirty hits have helped to generate 22 earned runs in those 19 innings. It has been ugly.

So, if you are the manager, what would you do? It?s your team and your starting rotation to consider. Would you make any changes based on Boyd?s ineffectiveness so far this season?

Please participate in the survey in order to state your case for the starting rotation. Don?t forget to come back and check the results and include your comments that support your choice.

As manager, what would you do with Matthew Boyd?

1. Nothing, keep him in the rotation and let him work through it.

2. Move him to the bullpen.

3. Send him to Toledo.

Vote.
