Finally! The prospects have started to arrive in Detroit. Something to help us take our minds off the Tigers? starting rotation.
Appropriately, this is the focus for our conversation for the week. Kurt and Holly have 5 questions and only 2 sentence responses for each one. What will they say?
And since this blog is being published while Casey Mize is on the the mound, we won?t be able to share our observations of his debut, but we certainly will share our thoughts about him.
Let?s get to it!

1. It?s a 60-game ?season? this year, if we?re lucky. Given that, would you have understood if the Tigers had held off promoting Casey Mize to Detroit this year?

2. Al Avila said as recently as this past weekend that Mize wasn?t ready and then changed his mind 36 hours later. What do you believe was the rationale for his abrupt about-face?

3. Skubal and Paredes made their debuts this week. Which one impressed you more?

4. Are stats or the intangibles more important as we watch Mize, Skubal and Paredes settle into their first year?

5. This will be a successful debut for these 3 if??. (fill in the blank).
