Stafford

I think 6 of the 8 were within 3 yards of the LOS with the ebron and calvin receptions being the "longer ones"...but give him praise if youd like.

He settled in nicely. The OLine was getting crucified, constant pressure. Quick short passes helped him. Of course you don't understand that though...

I just watched some game tape..that's right. Okay it might not have been real game tape but watching Stafford, his footwork doesn't seem to be improved. Still throwing off the back foot for example..make throws that WR have to slow down, stop or reach back behind you.

21/30 for a couple hundred yards and a 2 scores. You're right, he doesn't look better. lol.

Stafford checked into the run play for Bush's long run. Great job Stafford.

He's looked better at times and a times he's slipped in to old habits.

Yes he's improved, this preseason his rating would place him 8th last year, I would be thrilled if he turned into a top 10 QB.
However in the most realistic game this preseason, 3rd game, he was hardly spectacular.

Tate looks good, Ebron has had flashes, Broyles has shown potential, Calvin will be Calvin, Bush has looked good.

Frankly it will be hard for a QB to fail. This might be the easiest team to be a QB for in the league. If Stafford doesn't get in his own way he should put up great stats. Defense still looks like it will be the trouble spot, we can be putting them on a short field.

He looked like shit the first two series and bounced back. You're right..he has a shitload of talent in front of him now. Expect 40+ TDS and another 5,000 yards.

Has the defense even let a TD against them yet this preseason?

They may not have, but to me it looks very similar to prior years. Seems like in Oakland the defense was beat and were only saved by a poor throw.

Looks like a team that will be picked apart by good QBs and/or good WR. It's hard to accurately judge based on the talent we've gone against. Guess my fear is based on the fact I haven't seem much to expect something different. I still see the opportunity for them to get beat. Hoping I am wrong.

Two different run options. Stafford checked to the perfect one.

Dude I get it...it was a nice play call but stop acting like it was an amazing decision that only he could have made because he's Matt Stafford. You said it right there, there were TWO different options. I call that 50/50 odds, that even a 2 year old would pick the "perfect" choice.

Nice play call, but hardly worth bringing up for praise that he picked the "perfect" play. The execution was what scored the TD and that goes to everybody on the offense.

Where were these perfect play calls in the redzone??? All these weapons and Stafford can't throw a td against the fucking jaguars?

Preseason. My guess is Lombardi wanted to see what we had in a goaline situation.

I only brought that up because hughes was bashing Stafford for his "play calls" in the redzone that failed. Even though it's clearly run blocking for both the good and bad plays and the RB for the good and the bad.

I agree with that. Especially on 4th down. Regular season that is a field goal. Caldwell said so himself.

I see. carry on

I get that it's the preseason. Just expressing our annoyance with LKPs typical fanboy comments. Question: What happened on Staffords int? I see it was a defensive end that picked him off, but have not seen what happened.

Focused on Cavlin. DE dropped really really deep and made a great catch.
