Stafford

Dumbass. Stop mixing up the years. Holeless in 2014. Holes in 2013 at WR/TE mainly due to injury. Remember we signed Tate and drafted Ebron.

I provided you the context for the stats. It proves Stafford was just as good in 2013 as 2011. The tape doesn't lie. You choose to ignore facts. You lost this argument.

I didn't mix up anything. I was referring to 2014 when I posted your quotes. I didn't put a year so why are you assuming I meant 2013 and not 2014? That's the best you can counter with?

"Pittsburgh, Giants and Baltimore are typically playoff caliber"

Sorry you were referring to franchise history with this statement.

I'm referring to 2013 them being hot if you read the whole argument. Their defenses were tough. And not all the picks were Staffords fault. He played just as well in 2013. Even better per PFF too.

Ok Mr. Zealot :) I hope he plays even better this year than he did last year. I'd like to see that interception rate climb even higher, and that yards per attempt drop even lower.

You dipshit. They are holeless now(2014) but I blame the 2013 weapons for Staffords stat drop. There were holes in 2013. Due to injury.

I defend Stafford because it was the weapons fault in 2013. Not his. That doesn't have anything to due with my holeless argument for 2014.

I will love the day when you generate your own opinion and stop quoting PFF.

Any website that says Mathis and Florence are the 4th best pair of cover corners in the NFL should be imploded immediately.

It won't. The weapons are better than 2011 now. 10-12 picks max.

My opinions are from game tape. Reasons for ints is not based on PFF. PFF just backs up my claims. It's 2 against 1. I win.

Again, I understood exactly what you meant. And calm yourself sir. I have never once personally insulted you the way you have to me and others. Just because you've been exposed doesn't mean you need to act like a middle schooler.

PFF didn't do it. Mathis and Florence played that well in 2013 to earn the rankings. Going forward PFF wouldn't rank them top 25. Just interesting to see the 2013 production from them on game tape.

I have not been exposed. You had no clue what I meant. You are mixing up arguments and years like everyone does on this board of idiots.

Then stop posting here. Go to where your kind live in the clouds and it's all sunshine and unicorns. Please. Do us all a favor and go somewhere else.

I knew exactly what you meant and still do. You blame the 2013 stat drop for Stafford on everybody else besides Stafford. Now that the problems have all been completely fixed, without even seeing one regular season game we can all sit back and bet our life savings on the Lions making the Super Bowl in 2014 because there is absolutely no doubt and no holes on the roster. Did I miss anything?

That's your story and you're sticking with it clearly. I would like to reiterate that I'm probably much more positive on the Lions than you think me to be. I've stated before I think they are a playoff team, and like some of the moves they made. I also think Stafford is a good QB and could be great if he really does improve his mechanics and his consistency. Your routine/gimmick is very amusing to me to say the least :)

This team is holeless in 2014. It's obvious. All the great players back from 2013, elite to be QB and everyone we added is a good player. There is no reason for doubt with the talent we have. Especially with a new coaching staff.

There is no part of this team to doubt.

Thanks for proving what I already said :)

All those great players from a 7-9 team.

Secondary? Crap
D-Line? If Fairley does not shape up, they could be junk like they were last year.

If you don't think there's ANYTHING to doubt from a team that finished 7-9, then you really need to take a look at the FILM.

Mathis good, Quin good, Ihedigbo good add and fits well and Slay fits this scheme to a tee and will clearly be a good player in year 2. The media said secondary was crap but on tape that was not the case. Don't beleive the media bullshit

Dline Fairley will play well. He's a good player despite his weight. Suh is a stud and Ansah is a athletic freak. And Jones is back. They were already good in pressure and will only get better. There are no weaknesses on that line.

That 7-9 team doesn't exist anymore. New additions, player growth and new coaches. The only thing brought into 2014 from that team was the good stuff.

Saying the D-line was junk last year is uninformed. The Lions rushed 4 more than ANY team in the NFL last year. Constant double teams on Suh, with help on Fairley and Ansah at times. No front four was asked to do more in '13 than the Lions. Did they dominate...no....but if you add in the fact that we didn't blitz.....played extremely soft coverages and asked out LB's to cover....I'm surprised they did anything at all.

I think this line improves statistically simply because of scheme. They will be put in much better positions to make plays and some of those coveted hurries will become sacks.

Soft coverage is it..and I suspect it continues. And when we do tighten the coverage they get burned over the top. I, unfortunately, don't see that changing.

I'm glad we upgraded at LB with Noy but wonder if Levy has another strong year..I just feel opposing QB's will burn us with short passes because we play soft.

When haven't the Lions played soft coverages? That's been happening since I've had baby teeth.

That is completely unfair to explain away the poor performance of the D-line with schemes. This organization has poured THREE 1st round picks in the last 3 of 5 years into the D-line. The fans and the organization should expect that to produce a line that is near the top in sacks and is feared. They are anything but.

The D-line helps the secondary perform better, it all starts up front. Elite defenses don't need to blitz. Seattle built their team around playing smart coverage and having enough talent to win 1 on 1 battles, not having to bring the house down.

Seattle had the highest pass rush productivity while blitzing (155 times, 40 more than the Lions). Blitz is very important to them.

Lions scheme has changed and they will press and be more aggressive. The defensive line even without the blitz was still very good last year. It's not up for debate. It's a fact the Lions brought a ton of pressure.
