Seemed like the offenses were flipped. Shea was pressured on most passes and Haskins had all the time he needed.

Get StartedProbably not.
They’re all probably illegal aliens from Honduras who wouldn’t know a football from a dead armadillo.
They had all probably just rubbed their junks all over the food of the douche bag who keeps sending his food back to the kitchen for the 14th time.

you can blame harbaugh and staff for not having the kids motivated and ready for their biggest rival but other than pride/motivation that game came down to execution. Brown's defensive scheme wasn't the problem. As I said in the other thread, at least three teams played osu better than uofm did today and uofm is better than all three. michigan has been the best team in the B1G (probably not saying a lot) all season but osu caught them taking a day off today.
You really think it?s that simple ? I am just unsure. Michigan looked awful Saturday, and Brown?s defense which saw crossing patterns verses Indiana had zero clue how to stop them verses osu. Every Michigan player was beat by his opposite player. Sadly it was not even close. Frustrating as hell after watching osu verses , Maryland, Purdue, Nebraska, and others.
I'm not saying uofm is the better team or they should have won that game, but if that game gets played 20 times, osu may win a slight majority but I'd be shocked if what happened Saturday wasn't a 1 time outlier. what I think happened on Saturday was osu came ready to play and michigan didn't. If MD can get in a shootout w/ osu, michigan certainly can. And if Purdue can pressure Haskins to take him off his game, uofm DEFINITELY can. If psu and MSU can hold them under 30, uofm can for sure - the conditions sucked in E Lansing, but osu prob doesn't score 20 in that game if not for field position off turnovers.
I think it's more likely the case that uofm got caught not taking the buckeyes seriously (that's on the coaches, for sure) than osu sleep-walked through the B1G barely getting past lesser teams than uofm (some terrible teams) then suddenly woke up.
I think either team would get destroyed by Alabama - I haven't seen Clemson play this year, so other than possibly them, I don't think there's a team in college football that can hang with them on either side of the ball.
I guess it makes sense. But letting your guard verses osu like you said is a Indictment on the coaching staff. I don?t get the defense not being ready at all for the crosising patterns. Oh well what is another 365 days .Pretty common theme the last 20 years with Michigan football sadly for us fans. Wait till next year.
I never let these games affect my life. I accept and move on. 40-50 years of watching experience. Once it?s finished it?s the past and I look to the future. This team is a great team. All teams have bad days and no team including bama is excluded. Any team can be defeated on any given day. This team is one of the best in the last 20 yrs. give them that respect. Ohio had it?s one good day against us. It?s history and I look for a great bowl game.
Its a game but it fiesnt define me. I am too old and have other things go worry about. Disappointed of course but still wearing my michigan gear proudly
Theres 2 main problems with wanting to compare ourselves to Ohio State.
1) Even in a down year their overall talent is way better than ours. Jim simply has not recruited as well as Meyer during his tenure here. Hes recruited better than guys like Hoke...hes puling from more areas accross the country which is what we should be doing and a big complaint of mine during the Hoke years. But hes just not getting as many top tier guys as Ohio State.
2) Ive said it all year this offense can not win when we get into a shootout. Its so dependent on being able to run the ball vs a bad defense. In the end its Jims job to be able to change with the times. Youre a high profile coach at a high profile school...its your job to go find an up and comming OC that makes your offense better. You have a young QB like Milton....is your plan to line up heavy and run off tackle 60% of the time like youre doing now? You cant have the offense you do now and expect to compete against top tier talent. You think fucking Higdon was going to line up and run for 150 vs Alabama in the playoff?! lol. Jim hasnt done his job on the offensive side of the ball....which includes finding a up and comming guy to be OC.
None of this really mattered in this particular game...the defense simply just shit the bed. But moving forward these are the 2 biggest things that need to be fixed if were ever going to get over the hump and Jim is probably too pig headed to 1) realize it or 2) do anything about it.
Absolutely! I still wear my jerseys without shame. I was heckled today. I just laugh.
I threw away my shirt right after the loss and shoved it as far as I could into the trash. What is funny is that I wore that shirt for a couple big games and we lost everyone of them. I usually forget to wear one, but when I do, we lose. So, the jinx has been broken and we should win next year.
Two days ago I wore this anti-Ohio State t-shirt I've had for a few years. I've only worn it maybe twice, but both times I've done so, Michigan has lost. I would say that I should stick with my "Shoelace" shirt, but I'm pretty sure I've worn that one during The Game and Michigan still lost.
I guess I should wear my Toledo football shirt during UM games instead.
The morning of the game I opened my socks drawer and pulled out grey socks and threw back and grabbed blue socks. I could have pulled out white socks and they still would have lost. It doesn?t matter. Sparky Anderson used to avoid stepping on the chalked base lines. It doesn?t matter. He still would have gone 35-5 in 1984 in the first 40 games of the season.
