What ran through your mind immediately when he turned his body to go into the slide?

Game over. Damn 3 drops, missed field goal and kickoff return

That's what ran through your mind? That's a weird thing to think.

Or... He gets a first down and gives the team a shot to come back.

Same as what ran through his mind probably...fuck.

It's 4th down. I don't care if you do a full torpedo hurdle and come up a yard short, at least try.

Honestly I think he would have. The look on his face was like he just had a total brainfart.

If he got hurt we would be bitching about that though

It was a far cry from the time he wanted back in the game against cleveland with busted ribs,, just dive was my thought

No need to slide at all, keep sprinting on that angle and hold ball out across marker just before going OoB, fresh set and keep on striving for an inconsequential TD. The corner was still engaged with the WR beyond the marker when he started to slide, just run OoB...oh well, wouldn't have mattered anyway.

It bugged me. All he had to do is keep running and he would have went out of bounds for a first down. There was NO threat for him to get hit hard enough to justify a slide.

They get paid a shit load to take chances..a perfect ending to a perfect day.

I would only be bitching because Caldwell couldn't get anyone better than Orvlosky as the #2.

They were down 21. If that led to a score, it's only a couple of TDs with most of the 4th left (from what I remember in the timeline).

Pretty sad.

Stafford knew that the game was over. He knew he couldn't lead this team to a comeback over the Pats. He gave up.

Btw, I don't think the statement "he's the best QB of my life.." holds true any longer.

Now I remember why I was ever more pissed,

They were down by 18, I was already pissed they weren't going for a field goal, then that happened.
I knew there was a reason I was so disgusted with the play. God we are a stupid team.

Does it really matter. We have not scored a TD the last 2 weeks. He picks up the first and now me magically can score?

It was a lol moment. But I don't think anyone truly thought we'd make a game of it.
