The Stafford Slide

Atx, that's not the point. Is Stafford supposed to think during that play, "We probably won't score anyways, I'm going to slide"? If he gets a first on a 4th and 10, who's to say that it won't push them to play harder and maybe make a game out of it?

It was him giving up. And that speaks to this program.

Never want to see your qb give up but damn the offense let him down. 3 dropped td's and Ebron dropping an easy big gain in the 4th.

Even if we pick up the first the drive would have stalled.

There's absolutely zero way to determine that the drive would have stalled. Picking up a 4th and 10 could have been a huge motivational boost.

Sure it did. But those drops don't make explain away going 18/46. He made a TON of horrible throws. Even Sal Pal came on the radio and said he had a bad game, and he's king positive. In the two biggest games of the year, Zona and NE, he wet the bed.

He is 26th in QB rating. That's not acceptable. People have to stop making excuses for the guy, the amount of coddling that he gets from some fans is laughable.

7 1/2 quarters of drives stalling. Youre right there is no guarantee but the offense has shown nothing to make us think they would score a td.

There are plenty of plays where Stafford messed up (slide being one of them). But when he does do well, the team didn't back him up. Fauria, Fuller and Ross drops was 18 points off the board plus a missed field goal (that then led to Patriots getting 3 at th end). Plain and simple. Stafford sucked but he still tossed 3 TDS and leds us into Patriots territory 6 times. Patriots got into our territory 7 times but finished with 2 td runs and Tim Wright held onto 2 TDs. Stafford also had no running game help and sacks killed two drives in the first quarter.

First of all, NE also dropped an easy TD pass. Difference was NE got one anyway. 2ndly, if fuller caught that TD pass..maybe NE plays differently. And they never get other chances..games can change when something happens. You can't know what happens later in a game when one TD is missed.

To say we left 24 points out there or whatever is fuckin' ludicrous.

It's a fact we left those points out there. Maybe New England plays worse if Fauria catches that TD pass. Maybe they don't get the big kickoff return. There is 7 less points for the Pats too. Then a TD to Fuller and we could be up 17-6 not down 21-6. And the FG miss by Prater gave Pats a short field to get their field goal. Another 6 point swing.

Momentum is huge. Fauria and Fuller drops were huge in the first half. And the defense didn't back us up when New England had to go 93 yards up only 14-6. That was the backbreaker. LBs and Vaughn couldn't cover.

28 incomplete passes in 46 attempts

Plenty of pressure, no run support, drops. Revis and Browner did a great job. I look forward to playing much worse CBs than the last 2 weeks from here on out.

If fact means delusional in your head then you might be right..

About the rest, exactly. No idea what happens after, even the all powerful oz known as LKP. Which is why you can't fact it and say 24 points were left out there.

21 points left on the board. 6 drives in Patriots territory to the Pats 7 in ours. That is a fact. The only reason I don't call this a true win is because Bynes mugged Gronk on the Brady pick.

And fuck Reiff getting hurt on play one.
