Tigers 2023-2024 Offseason: Trades, Free Agents, Call ups, Rule 5, tender, non-tender

I think it was 4 years with the Tigers maybe 77 million.

Now another 4 years with arizona.

good luck to them.

Either way, fuck that guy. Might be my least favorite tiger of all time.

Although, I blame Harris more for botching not trading him at the deadline.

In my top ten, who includes Joe Nathan, Troy Pervcial, Juan Gonzalez, Ugeth Urbena, and Brandon Inge, who is #1 on that list

Harris definitely is accountable, but ER also was disingenuous in his actions and words, to say the least. In fact, this player stated that he and his family was comfortable in Detroit, correct? I hear that Phoenix in July is rather temperate.

It was clear he was opting out. Harris should have had a back up plan with one of the 20 teams that Erod didn't have a no trade clause with.

Also, I just saw Arizona gave him a 10 team no trade clause too. Hope detroit is 1 of the 10.

When you're in the league for a certain time you automatically get a 10 team no trade clause.

As far as the other 20 teams, we don't know how many of those were buyers. My quess is he was okay with LA and did a 180 last minute.

AZ GM Mike Hazen spent plenty of time with EROD in boston.

The story continues to grow. The D'backs - ERod's new team, along with most of all the other western franchises, made up his entire no-trade list. Were there no eastern or midwestern teams who made him an offer? When money talks, a player walks.
We know the Tigers refused to alter ERod's contract in order to keep him. Now being reported that the Dodgers also refused to meet with him or consider making an offer.
Rodriguez said he nixed the trade to LA because the West Coast was too far away from his family? He just signed with the AZ D'backs. Last we heard, AZ shares a border with CA and their team is in the NL West.
This whopper joins his other one when he said he loved Detroit and wanted to stay there. Just once, we'd love to hear a player tell the truth - that it's all about the $$$. Tell us you are looking to take care of your family.
It's OK to want to be paid more money, but to try to pull the wool over fans' eyes because you think they're dumb is insulting. And constantly throwing out lies to the public to explain your actions doesn't make any player look good. Good luck, GM Mike Hazen.

Totally Tigers

Also, third baseman Jeimer Candelario, non-tendered 13 months ago, signs three-year, $45 million deal with Reds
