Tigers 2024-2025 Offseason: Trades, Free Agents, Call ups, Rule 5, tender, non-tender, Awards

I'm not buying this story that tork's 2024 year earned him a ticket out of town.
Either a DH (where to play McKinstry not sure) or earn it in ST. But he also can't hit the fastball. I also heard something on Reddit (so take that for what it's worth) that the team wanted him to change his swing and he told them no. No idea if that's true or not.

AAV is fair enough but that many years might be a bit much. But man I'd love to get a 3B. Vierling is at least average at 3rd and he's cheap.
well, since he turned it down, my guess is he wants at least 6 years and probably $30M per year.

According to Freep's Evan Petzold on MLB Network Radio, Gio Urshela played a big factor in Gleyber Torres signing with the Tigers. Torres and Urshela are close friends and when asked about playing for the Tigers, Urshela had great things to say about it.

Evan also says there is still a little bit of a gap in value between the Tigers and Bregman’s camp. He also says the Tigers are prioritizing Bregman a lot more than they were at the beginning of the offseason. Harris is in for a 5 year contract but not a 6 year.

MLB executive's Tarik Skubal contract prediction will make Tigers fans sick.
At this projected price tag, it feels like a foregone conclusion the beloved left-hander will depart in free agency after the 2026 season.

Gleyber Torres is a Detroit Tiger. 70 minutes.
The guys recap the signing of second baseman Glayber Torres and how it impacts the rest of the Tigers roster.

If this is true (which I believe it is), they should be actively shopping him from now through next off season. There is no reason to keep him going into the 2026 season.

QUICK HITS.
Totally Tigers

It’s the end of the year and while Detroit Tiger fans have very few updates via the media, their Front Office is working behind the scenes to make news. It just may take awhile for us to read about them.
In the meantime, as we head into our second holiday week, I’ve collected bits of news and thoughts to keep you going until that first big(gish) signing comes along.
Here’s what hit my radar recently………
