Tigers 2024 Spring Training beginning 2 - 14

Detroit Tigers' top prospect's incredible debut means more beyond the surface.
After battling injuries and criticism, the Detroit Tigers gave Jackson Jobe his opportunity on Tuesday. He made his Spring Training debut, and it means a lot more than just him throwing 100 mph in a clean inning.

I'll take Langford for ROTY and you can take Colt Keith. We can put some money on the line :)
And if neither win? Just saying they're both 22, no need to have either in MiLB. I'll bet and if you win I'll give you a compliment and I win you give me one. Deal?

These 3 pitchers continue to build a case for a role with the Detroit Tigers.

The Tigers have announced the following roster moves:*Optioned INF Buddy Kennedy to Triple A Toledo.*Reassigned RHP Brenan Hanifee, INF Jace Jung and OF Justice Bigbie to Minor League camp.*The Tigers have 40 players remaining in Major League camp.

Just like that, the Detroit Tigers are the favorite to win on Opening Day.
The Detroit Tigers have not been the favorite in many of their games over the past few seasons, but heading into 2024, they might just be the favorite on Opening Day after the White Sox traded Dylan Cease.

FIVE FOR FRIDAY.
Totally Tigers

There are less than 2 weeks left until Opening Day and opinions about the Tigers still remaining in camp are starting to gel. For most of these players, we’re seeing enough of them to make educated decisions about their value on the roster.
Many of the positions have already been determined but there are still legitimate battles going on in starting pitching, the bullpen, infield and outfield. But there are still a number of players on the cusp of making the roster. It’s not a given that someone who made it last year will make it again this year due to increased competition.
So which of those players right on the edge am I rooting for to make the roster for Opening Day? I’ve got my top 5 who are not locks – but should be.
