Tigers @ Seattle 5/7

Oh I never questioned the move.. But you have to yank him after the walks.

Yea, I didn't mean you Bob, I meant the people calling him an idiot for now staying with Coke.

I would have used Dotel to close too.

Some of the clowns were calling for us to use Dotel over Benoit earlier this week.

i was one they way he was pitching over Benoit.. But its not like you are right every time jack-face.

I don't even know what to say.

I'm not an ardent Leyland hater, but he is making all the wrong calls game after game right now.

I'm pissed too, but seriously....you guys need to lose the hindsight hate for using Dotel.

The guy has been lights out, nobody...NOT ONE OF YOU....would have predicted this.

That said, Leyland should have yanked him before Montero stepped to the plate.

See, my earlier question still holds. I agree, the guy's been lights out and now he looks like some smuck out of the A league. Something is very, very wrong here. Very. JL did too much managing and Dotel looked unbelievably terrible. I just don't think the guy was right at all. Stevie Wonder could have been more accurate for godsakes.

i probably would have used Dotel there too now that ive calmed down a bit, im more pissed that he wasnt yanked quickly and that he pitched like shit.

Horrible managing to leave him in when he was CLEARLY off!! This loss is squarely on Leyland period!!

Benoit has proven over the past 3+ years he is better than Dotel.

He should always been brought in over Dotel.

Don't understand not yanking him after the two walks and all the wildness.

Are you sure you want to delete 2012 Tigers? Yes

Empty Trash.

done.

Dotel - Offense - Leyland.

That's where I'd rank the blame for this.

Dotel has to throw strikes, the offense has to hit shitty pitching, and Leyland has to be quicker with the hook with the game on the line.

Not last week.

Then he was cursed by the Tiger board of despair. Benoit was letting runners on every game and Dotel wasn't.. But now he is.... Dotel is only a one batter pitcher.

its not like its a new problem though, he ALWAYS leaves pitchers in too long when theyre in trouble. i guess he feels its more important for them to work out of it themselves than to make sure the team can win.

Right, because Leyland only scored 2 runs vs. a bunch of AAA pitchers.

You have no objectivity. Period.

Benoit wasn't available having pitched 3 games in a row.

You could make a decent argument for leaving Coke in, but I don't think bringing Dotel in was horrible, I questioned it, but it's not horrible. But you pull Dotel after the 2nd walk and you do it without hesitation because you don't want to put him in the position you did.

Another great effort from a starter for nothing.

If ANYONE in the world can tell me how 75 pitches or 90 pitches would make any difference when youre not injured anymore....id like to know.
