Tigers vs. a's ALDS Game Thread 2 Oct. 5

Hahahaha fucking smelly hobo needs to go to bunting school.

In his career, Austin Jackson has struck out 175 times per 162 games,

Question for greater baseball minds: If you know a batter is bunting, is it better to throw a fastball or a breaking ball?? As in, do either present a bigger problem for the batter??

Having Jackson swing on 3-0 was not good either... Have to make this kid work...walk loads it up and gives tori or miggy a chance... team just has no patience,

Actually swinging 3-0 was a good move as well there. It was a strike and a fastball down the middle. If he makes decent contact he hits a fly ball and the run scores. AJ didn't get it done that at bat.

That is why you run with guys who put the ball in play If Jackson was hot it would be different but he k'd easy and the runner was out by 10 feet..tori and miggy look on...

Agreed. If you can't trust your lead off hitter to make solid contact on a 3-0 fastball, who can you trust?

Wrong call but in the end it was an out and should have been an out. He got it wrong, but right.

Offense has let JV down all year. He's going to crack if the offense keeps putting all the weight on him. I blame them mostly for his down year.. dude has to be perfect.
