Everyone on the A's all ticked off about the "ball kiss." MLB Network guys not liking it either. Obviously they missed Cespedes mouthing off to Miggy after he stole third.

Basically the A's see their Cinderella story winding to a close so they're going to be whiny bitches about it.

It was pretty bush legue but that's how it is with a lot of these players. Look at the A's closer....he acts like a fool after every out.

No comment by the A's on Valverde, either? I do think that Al_Al did cross the line there. The A's commented and you move on. Al_Al said "he meant no disrespect." Maybe there's some backstage condos going on to smooth his whole thing out.

I like the A's. I wish Reddick was the Tigers' RF. We can use his 2012 UZR of 17+

Meh, if the A's don't want something like that to happen, don't get in a position to let it happen. Maybe they should concern themselves more with the fact that they are down 2-0. Was it a little over the top? Probably, but there should be more important things to Reddick, like his 6 ks.

I do still find it funny a team that set the record in all of MLB history in strikeouts are being so vocal over the strike zone.

Is it at all shocking that against JV (among the league leaders in K's every year) and Fister (having set his own record this year) they'd strike out a lot? No one could've seen that coming.

oops.

Seriously.

And me being a homer aside, I feel like the strike zone has been called evenly throughout this series. The A's were grumbling about an outside pitch that wasn't called a strike when in just the very last half inning, the same exact location was hit, and the same call was made.

But I hope that they keep feeling like the victims here, and we send them off crying.

The slow motion replay of that missed catch was really good. It showed him miss it then flip it up in the air on this second try at it then one more last ditch effort with his non glove hand. All of this happened in less than a second.

If the 2B had gotten closer to the play no doubt it'd be called an infield fly rule.

Cespedes on the Alburquerque kiss, "I am going to hit the ball hard against him, and I am going to kiss my bat".
from nbchardballtalk

?You cannot do that, that?s just not right,? Tigers MVP candidate Miguel Cabrera told USA TODAY Sports. ?This game is about respect. We know he?s excited, but you have to respect the game.

?I will talk to him, and tell him that you cannot do that.?

Expect an apology of some sort before Game 3 gets underway tomorrow.

You can't do anything anymore as a player that shows some sign of disrespect..lol. You can't wear your hat this way, your pants are too baggy or too tight. Shut up already. He kissed the ball...so fn what? It's more goofy than anything. He was excited, he got his job done. People need to chill the fuck out when it comes to shit like this.

Such a stark difference between FB and Baseball these days, in FB guys do first down dances when they're losing by 20 points still, in BB kiss a baseball because your relieved you just got out of a big inning... oh no everybody gets their pants all in a bunch.. LOL.. In all honesty though I don't like it when guys do first down dances, I think it's stupid.

It's why I like baseball. And hockey. You show up the opposition and you eat a Koho sandwich.

But AA won't be picking up a bat anytime soon. Maybe that's why Miguel said what he said, doesn't want to eat a "Koho" sandwich whatever the heck that means.

"Koho sandwich" is a hockey term. "Koho" is (was) a brand of wooden stick that was more popular 20 years ago.
