Get StartedI believe homefield advantage goes to the team with the better record.
Anyone know the last time all 4 division series went 5 games?
League Championship Series (ALCS and NLCS)
The winners of the Division Series then advance to the best-of-seven American League and National League Championship Series. The team with the best record of the remaining teams will have home-field advantage. In the event that a wild-card team has the better record than the other qualifying team that is a division champion, the division champion still gets the advantage and hosts Games 1, 2, 6 and 7.
So Scherzer pitched yesterday. Day off today, tomorrow, and the next day (break day between series), then Fister pitches, then Scherzer pitches, then Verlander, then Sanchez, then Fister, then Scherzer (or JV on short rest) ?
I wish Price would hack up whatever is in his throat.
That would have Scherzer pitching on 3 days reast, so not likely. I would guess Sanchez for game 2, Verlander game 3, Scherzer game 4, then Fister, Sanchez, and Verlander.
No break day between series, ALCS starts saturday.
geeebus I hope they aren't still hung over!
Actually that other series is going 5, they'll still be more hung over than us! that'll work.
No break I already factored that in.
Ever have anything positive to say?
I just did didn't I? LOL /Sarcasm servin, ever heard of it?
That was before your ninja edit, you were just dogging "Mr. Triple Crown".
There are few people in this league, and we're fortunate to have 2, that you don't question. Ever. He's freakin' Miguel.
Agreed, I will never dog Miggy or JV. For people to question them is ridiculous.
Starting pitching is the reason the Tigers made the playoffs and the reason they made it through the first round. The quartet of Verlander, Doug Fister, Anibal Sanchez and Max Scherzer posted a combined ERA of 1.30 and 41/10 strikeout/walk ratio in 34 2/3 innings in the five-game series.
