Tigers vs. a's ALDS Game Thread 5 Oct. 11

when he acts like Delmon he'll be called out. nobody gets a free pass.. the offense struggles on a regular interval and he's better than that! it's not about questioning it's about not giving anything away.. I don't like seeing Miggy give away AB's.. when he's not doing that he wins triple crowns!

You'd be the only one who thinks so.

League Championship Series (ALCS and NLCS)

The winners of the Division Series then advance to the best-of-seven American League and National League Championship Series. The team with the best record of the remaining teams will have home-field advantage. In the event that a wild-card team has the better record than the other qualifying team that is a division champion, the division champion still gets the advantage and hosts Games 1, 2, 6 and 7.

One by-product of this is that the Tigers could be Playing in Detroit or NYC Saturday, which could make for a flight on 2 days in a row.

So that is what a Ace looks like..Wei how some guys just don't seem to grasp the concept of Ace LOL..

Nice work fellows... My dad made it for the whole game and I had all the bats by the TV!!!!!! and Baltimore came back and forced game 5...

He's the greatest hitter I've ever seen! The only person that gets him out is himself. I doubt I'm the only one that thinks that from time to time, triple crown and all. I think he could hit .400 if not for those bouts of I can hit anything thrown up to the plate. IMO!!

Key situation and maybe he pops up or has bad games. I might lower my head, maybe shake it but no way I'd get in his grill he's freakin' awesome.

Reynolds on MLB said, which I didn't know, AJ has a 40 inch vertical and was a very good basketball player and could have been a possible lottery pick.

I don't think I'm in his Grill. I was heavily influenced by Gibson as a kid. He had a game once were he went 4-5, started out 4-4... after grounding out to end the day at 4-5 he threw his helmet down and got all pissed. After the game he was asked why he got upset over a 4-5 day, he said because he should have been 5-5 and he swung at a bad pitch and he knows better than that, then he said something about never allowing yourself to settle for something less than what you know your capable of. I never forgot that.

do you people understand me now yet!
probably not

Gibby has his way, seldom happy. Miguel, happy. But don't take being happy as content. Miguel wants to succeed as much as Gibby did. Most players do.

Justin Verlander's Game Score of 89 is best ever in a "sudden death" game. Koufax had 88 in G7 of 1965 WS.

Oh I'm sure he's not content, you can see that when he's talking to himself after bad AB. Just didn't understand why he kept trying to muscle over all the busting inside stuff even after 4 games worth of it still, not even taking a pitch in in the first three tonight., I know he's smarter than that.

but yeah..there ya have it, "seldom happy" that's me.. LOL. as I said.. was "heavily influenced" I'm trying to grow out of it though. Being a Lions fan certainly doesn't help and has kept me from making larger strides over the years.

Me, the reverse. I'm always happy. Life sucks too much being mad and shit.

How do they formula that?

1. Start with 50 points.
2. Add 1 point for each out recorded, so 3 points for every complete inning pitched.
3. Add 2 points for each inning completed after the 4th.
4. Add 1 point for each strikeout.
5. Subtract 2 points for each hit allowed.
6. Subtract 4 points for each earned run allowed.
7. Subtract 2 points for each unearned run allowed.
8. Subtract 1 point for each walk.

Looking at the box score they gave Drew an error on Delmon's hit. Delmon can't catch a break, I thought it should be a hit with how hard he hit it.

*Drew really did have a hard day, can't get the DP hit by Delmon and K'd 4 times. Bummer ;-)

Even with that performance, I would rather have him at SS instead of Jhonny next year. I know it is unlikely to happen but a boy can dream can he?
