just throwing the ball so far off the plate that it is "guaranteed" to be a waste pitch isn't smart...especially with a man on base. How pissed would you be if he threw it in the dirt and the runner advanced?

I always think that if a pitcher has a guy 0-2, don't waste a pitch, throw something you think you can get him out on. A pitch that might create weak contact or a strikeout

Dan Dickerson is ok. Jim has to be close to 80 brown on 1941. He only played five seasons in Detroit. Did he coach or anything after his playing days. When did him and Dickerson stat.

We are talking about the same thing. Get over it. I would rather have it thrown in the dirt and and runner on second and a 1-2 count then The tying run at the plate and some big homer run hitter up. It’s just varying degrees. Elevating a fastball is a waste pitch ect, ect.
