That's a dumb argument? He's an RBI machine. So yes...his OBP would be wortless if he didn't have any talent surrounding him. Same for most baseball players. You ever notice what Berkman is doing now that he's with Pujols? Granderson?

Really only an RBI machine one year, 2 if you count 2007.

And in 2009 he hit for a lot more power.

Minny didn't waive him on a whim, he's been a good pickup, but he's no superstar, or RBI machine.

The one thing I like about delmon is that the tigers offense seems to have stepped up since he has been here. Weather that is because of him or not I don't care just as long as the Tigers keep winning.

IMO this was perhaps the gutsiest win of the year, after having a night home game followed by a day road game in a put em away or start to let em back in it series, this was a huge win today! gotta love it!

He's been a good addition, no doubt.

I still don't like him.

Much props to Fister for an excellent game. Props to the Tigers for winning after not getting much sleep after last nights game.

Always a great time when you don't have classes because of Labor Day, and you get to watch a Tigers victory. Great game, great win, and have a great Labor Day fellow Tigers fans.

It's definitely not because of Delmon.

Fister is looking like a great pickup...especially for a team who has consistency issues from starters not named JV.

big win....just like others have posted , coming off last nights emotion of a sweep and having to travel and play again in a short time frame.

Had made previous plans to visit with dear friends of the family,
so I missed a great pitching peformance from Fister.
13 strikeouts, 1 earned run, 4 hits.
Thanks to all for great game thread postings to read, so I could get a feel of the Tigers win.
I can't help but feel Fister has a better catcher and game plan in how to get batters out. One pitch he is using effectively is that 2 seamer? with the tailback action inside corner to lefthanded batters.
Got to give our Tigers alot of credit with this win after playing a late game and travel in the early morning hours to cleveland.
Road record is now 37 and 33, already 8 more wins on the road than all of last year.
I will enjoy my Tigers Victory Cigar now.

They said on the radio he was really keeping them off balance with the 2-seamer tailing away, and the cutter darting inside to the lefties.

So refreshing to have a guy who knows exactly what pitch will catch the batter off balance in each situation.

I don't think you could walk up to the catcher and place it in his glove any better.
