Considering Pedro Martinez dominated in 99 and received none, I doubt he had a true shot at it anyways..

Verlander 2nd inning,

jones fastball same location as strike to Maggs a ball, fastball low, fastball fouled back, fly to deep center and jackson gets spun around and makes the catch Amazing,

reynolds fastball strike call, swings and misses a slider, swings and misses a curve,

davis fastball outside, slider in is pulled foul, fastball inside fouled back, curve ground between diving Cabrera and mudhen single,

andino fastball fouled back, fastball inside, fastball single past first,

f'nangle fastball swings and misses, again at 97, curve low, curve outside, 99 fastball fouled back, fastball low full count, fastball outside?? walk,

bases loaded after 2 outs,

hardy fastball strike call, fastball way inside, swings and misses a curve, chases a curve and grounds it foul, curve is lined to left and 2 runs score,

shit,

fuck'n orioles blow dead goats,

markakis changeup outside, fastball low, f'n ump finally calls a strike, again, hard grounder off Cabrera's glove and another run scores,

It is not just domination, but the competition. JV has the advantage of not having to a dominant favorite for MVP and several candidates are from the same team (Cano and Grandy, Pedroia and Ellsbury and Gonzo).

Pedro received more 1st place votes in 1999 than Pudge.

I just came home as well...what the fuckin shit is wrong with Verlander.....I hope this doesn't carry over to the playoffs.

There is no way in hell JV gets the MLB triple crown... Kershaw is way ahead of him and has a start to go..

This does not bode well for the playoffs if JV does not get his shit together.. Epically verses the Yankees or Sox's because they both take so many pitches.
