biggunsbob]That was a terrible pitch by JV.....

JV doesnt throw waste pitches. he tries to over power you by ratcheting it up 3-5 mph than he threw earlier in the count. Location wasnt good but you hope it doesnt matter when its 100 mph. :/ oh well...

That is not really true... First it was a 100 MPH fastball right down the middle.... Beyond dumb with that kind of location... Slow stuff would have been better ......And off the plate...No reason on a 0-2 pitch to catch the plate at all..Makes no sense.

Leyland said Coke is today's closer. Maybe we can score a couple to ease his burden.

KalineCountry]Coke does the job,

Bring him back for the 9th,

please God no Penny or gascanPerry,

Tigers lead 7 - 4.

Coke just needs to finish it out. If Penny comes in life is going to suck but he at least has about a 50/50 shot at getting out a big league hitter. Perry is an absolute piece of shit, him making the playoff roster is one of the biggest managing mistakes this year and there have been a few.

Inge gets on but wiped by dp, top of the 9th, top of the order for the rump-rangers.

Fister started Tuesday. To start on Saturday it would be on 3 days rest instead of his normal 4. Scherzer pitched well in Texas and has good career numbers there. No reason to start Fister over Scherzer in game 6. We have to win 2 not 1.

As I stated previously we have the better pitching matchup's and its just a matter of whether or not our bats came alive like tonight. We have a really good chance if we continue to hit like we should to take this series.

biggunsbob]What did Orel on the radio say about that pitch from Verlander.

He talked a lot about the pitch prior. He went from 94 to 99. the second pitch had a ton of movement and cruz swung right thru it. Then all the crowd is going nuts and swinging towels.....for JV he was prolly so amped up all he was doing was rearing back to throw it as hard as he could.

Orel didnt talk to the location on the HR...didnt have a chance cause JV was comming out right after that so they talked about his appearance.
