Why hasn't MLB tried to put microphones on catchers? Seems like you could really get some good on the field stuff/conversations...like the NFL does.

Don't know about the logistics of hanging a wireless unit on a catcher and how it might interfere with his duties.

If they can hang it on a football player who hits and takes hits they have to be able to do it. With tiny technology it seems like you could put it inside the mask somewhere or chest protector...like in the padding???

It's not the mic. That would be easy to dress. The wireless transmitter is about the size of a deck of cards and it's metal.

I'd be shocked if they don't go for broke.

Could be a good or bad thing. With the available free agents not so deep and several teams looking for upgrades it might be a trade to improve the team and then you have to look at any major trade were involved in would more then likely include Turner.

Go for broke. Get Pujols and move Cabrera to third.... I don't think that Pujols would come here though. Comerica wouldn't help his legacy.

I like Young a lot, but I agree, he needs work. I have seen lots of things in this series that I haven't seen from the Tigers all year.

i DONT like young. all he has going for him is a ~.270 avg and ~10-20 homers. he's horrible in the OF, cant get on base, and is slow as molasses. we need to non-tender him in the offseason and get a more well-rounded outfielder, like david dejesus.

Agree on Young. I hope they don't buy on his late season surge as his true value. He's a mediocre hitter with no plate discipline who cannot hit right handers well and he might be the worst fielder in the majors. He's a non tender candidate if there ever was one.

Leyland gave up this game, so why shouldn't the players. You have alal, benoit and valverde in your pen....you can't give up anymore runs if you want a chance....and he pitches schlereth, Perry, penny. Awesome.
