Tigers vs. rangers Game 1 Thread April 21

And maybe Napoli gets a hit and the rangers continue to pound Porcello. You never know how things "may have" turned out.

It should have been a DP. Inning looks a bit different. And the one which rolled past him.

Those hits in the first, the ones where certain batters shouldn't have come up, might not have been hits in the 2nd. Like I said, you don't understand.

You never know what might have happened....and I don't either. All we do know is Rick sucked and the Rangers are mashing.

Jackson swinging for the fences again, it paid off this time, but his BA and Ks are suffering because of his focus on power the last several games.

Good to at least make them work a little now, get a couple more and it's a game at least.

I agree you don't. But errors and fk'd up plays changes things.

yes they do....but if they didn't happen you can't assume that everything would have gone the way you think. Napoli may have gotten a hit afterward and they still could have scored 9 runs in the first. Everything changes after that moment.....it could have changed for the better or the worse. It is all hypothetical.

This team needs a fucking wake up call. Why should the rest of the guys even bother trying when Inge or Raburn or both are marched out there every single day batting below .100? Where are the standards/ Where is the expectation for performance?

Leyland

Then why was there an unearned run? Errors and fk'd up plays changes things.

And Raburn on que ends the inning and the rally with RISP.

Guys have bad stretches, heck Cabrera was 0-21, but how can a guy batting .075 stay in your lineup every day for this long? It's game 14 and he has close to 50 ABs by now.

You're telling me there is no 2nd baseman in our system that could hit .180? Hell, every team usually has 5 of those.

No way the Rangers get 9 runs if inge flips the ball to JP like he should have.. That was a rookie mistake and I can't believe Rod was even trying to defend the move.

Of course they do.....and they change them in a bad way. All I have been saying is you can't assume the score would be 4-2 if that error didn't happen.

Unfortunately its not just bad stretches. Miguel could have went 0-50 and no one would be wanting him bench. He's done it year after year. KBurn and Cringe suck year after year. Of course the KBurn supporters will insist he's better than DY though at least DY gets a hit now and then..

Raburn is officially my least favorite Tiger.

No, but it wouldn't be 9 to 2. The error suggest it gave them a run but they don't see it as a DP so it effect at least 2 plus Texas had more outs to play with.

And what I have been saying is you don't know it wouldn't be 9-2. I understand it is much less likely but once an error happens everything changes. Pitchers make different pitches, batters have different approaches at the plate depending on the situation. The score COULD be 4-2 or it could be 10-4.....we will never know.

Before today KBurn with an OPS+ of -15. Sweet. I hope Leyland keeps playing him..
