He NEEDS to get on base as a leadoff hitter. The last 2 times up he led off the innings with a lazy fly ball. He's free swinging right now early in the count.
The outfielders have barely had to move to make the play.Not sure I'd call those lazy fly balls.

Jackson is 2nd (behind Fielder) in OBP for this team. He has been the least of our worries.
Go back and watch his last at bat. Took the first pitch for a ball, then swung at the next 4 pitches. 2 of which were definate balls and 1 that was borderline. Took another ball that was 2 feet off the plate and then golfed a ball at his shins right to center. 5 swings that at bat and only 1 ball actually was in the strike zone.
